Your business has an industrial stormwater permit from Washington Department of Ecology.

Rain becomes stormwater when it flows off roofs, yards, streets, and parking lots into streams, lakes, rivers, wetlands, and groundwater. As runoff washes over these surfaces, it picks up dirt, pet waste, litter, motor oil, and other pollutants, carrying them into waterways and degrading water quality. Stormwater runoff is managed by specially built landscaped and structural features called stormwater facilities. For more information on stormwater facilities, go to www.stormwaterpartners.com.

In which watershed is your business located? www.clark.wa.gov/public-works/watershed-assessment

How much runoff does your site generate? How many gallons of stormwater are generated per year from impervious surfaces (e.g. roof, parking lot) at your business? Determine the answer by multiplying the square feet of impervious surface by 25.

square feet of impervious surface x 25 = gallons per year of stormwater generated.
