A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF CLARK COUNTY FIRE & RESCUE TO RE-ASSIGN FIRE COMMISSIONER POSITIONS

WHEREAS, The Board of Clark County Fire & Rescue presently consists of eight (8) Commissioners as a result of the merger of Clark County Fire Protection District 2 into Clark County Fire & Rescue approved by the voters on August 2, 2016; and

WHEREAS, the number of legally authorized Fire Commissioner positions for Clark County Fire & Rescue is five (5) members as approved by the voters on November 3, 2009 and RCW 52.14.020; and

WHEREAS, RCW 52.06.085 prescribes the manner in which the Board shall be reduced from (8) eight to (5) five members subsequent to a merger; and

WHEREAS, previous Board position assignments and term expirations were as follows:

Clark County Fire & Rescue Position 1: David Town (December 31, 2019) Position 2: James R Johnson (December 31, 2021) Position 3: Gerald Kolke (December 31, 2017) Position 4: S Jon Babcock (December 31, 2017) Position 5: Larry Bartel (December 31, 2019)

Clark County Fire Protection District 2 Position 1: Kenneth Ayers (December 31, 2021) Position 2: David Lester (December 31, 2019) Position 3: Stanley Chunn (December 31, 2017)

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Clark County Fire & Rescue that:

1. As of the date of this resolution, the position terms shall be re-established as follows: Position 1: Expires December 31, 2019 Position 2: Expires December 31, 2021 Position 3: Expires December 31, 2017 Position 4: Expires December 31, 2019 Position 5: Expires December 31, 2021

2. Updated position assignments are as follows: Position 1: David Town, Larry Bartel Position 2: James R Johnson Position 3: Gerald Kolke, S Jon Babcock, Stanley Chunn Position 4: David Lester Position 5: Kenneth Ayers
