Gregory B. Morrison (2004) ChairAtlanta, Georgia Gregory Morrison is the recently retired Senior Vice President and Corporate Chief Gregory Morrison is recently retired Senior Vice President and Corporate Chief Information Officer for Cox Enterprises, Inc., a leading communications, media and automotive company with revenues exceeding $22 billion and approximately 60,000 employees. For eighteen years, he was responsible for delivering all information technology and cyber security solutions. Widely known for authorship of large-scale business transformations, key technology deployments that accelerate the digitization of manual businesses processes, he has demonstrated a commitment to career path modeling of IT professionals and a passion for diverse leadership teams and was named among the industry’s top performing CIO’s who have shown unparalleled leadership to drive

innovation and transformation in their businesses. Amassing more than 30 years’ experience as corporate CIO, Mr. Morrison has been cited as a major ‘influencer’ for organizations within the technology sector. Prior to Cox, he served as Vice President and CIO at Prudential Financial, Inc. and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for RealEstate.com, a B2B ecommerce internet company. Currently, he serves on the corporate board of directors for Veritex Holdings, a Nasdaq listed bank holding company: BVTX (member of audit, IT, and Risk Committees) and IEWC Global Solutions, an international distributor and solutions provider for wire, cable and wire management products. Mr. Morrison serves on the Global Advisory Board of Tricentis, a software test automation company based in Vienna, Austria and is a former corporate board director for nuBridges, Inc., Scentric, Inc., and Florida First Coast Business Investment Corporation.

Leonard Walker (2005) Vice ChairAtlanta, Georgia

Leonard Walker brings previous banking and venture capital exposure to the Board of Trustees. As Business Baking Division Manager for Wells Fargo Bank (formerly Wachovia Bank, N.A.), where he headed banking activities for more than 4,000 companies with annual sales ranging from $3M to more than $25M and maintaining responsibility for all corporate banking, treasury services, credit and capital management needs for Business Banking Customers in Atlanta. As founder and principal of Cyber-Starts, an institution-backed venture capital firm based in Atlanta and funded, in part, by Wachovia, the firm created, acquired and managed companies focusing on the intersection of financial services and technology. Walker’s banking career includes 11 years with JPMorgan Chase in New York, New York where he held a number of senior management positions including Small

Business Financial Services and Division Executive in Middle Market Banking. Mr. Walker serves on the Board of the YMCA Metro Atlanta, Grady Health Foundation, Central Atlanta Progress and Midtown Alliance. Recipient of the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Davidson College and Master of Business Administration Degree from Columbia University, he is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development. Mr. Walker chairs the Board of Trustees’ Finance and Audit Committee.

Stephanie Russell (2013) (MBA 1993) SecretaryAtlanta, GA

Guided by a commitment to service as community activist and volunteer, Mrs. Walker has focused her attention and energies in the areas of health and education as they impact the well-being of children and women, particularly African-American. Professionally, Mrs.Russell served internships with the Coca-Cola Company and McMaster-Carr Industry Supply Company, after which she held positions as brand Manager, Fountain Division, the Coca-Cola Company; Product Development Manager, Bell South Cellular, where she was responsible for creating brand relevancy and advertising plans for the GT Wireless program. Mrs. Russell actively supports several organizations and initiatives. Following a successful transplant between her husband and his brother and garnering in excess of $300,000, she organized and sponsored the first-ever African American Kidney Fund Gala

to advance awareness and promote the Fund. In addition, the Fund was beneficiary of a $100,000 family gift. Mrs. Russell serves as member of several philanthropic and community organizations including: Board of the National Black Arts Foundation, Wren’s Nest; Villages of Carver YMCA; and the Westminster Schools “Wilbur and Hilda Glenn Institute for Philanthropy and to Serve Learning. She is actively involved on committees within the Woodward Academy community and the Girl Scouts of America. Mrs. Russell has chaired and co-chaired many events throughout theAtlanta Community, including thee National Black Arts Festival (NBAF). As a founding member of Granting Atlanta’s Wishes (G.A.W.), a nine-woman organization, Mrs. Russell provides assistance to those seeking to pursue educational, entrepreneurial and artistic dreams. She received the Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Clark Atlanta University in 1998. Mrs. Russell is married to H. Jerome Russell and they have four children.

James H. Colon (2013)Marysville, Washington

Current Co-Owner of Marysville Toyota in Marysville, Washington, James Colon previously served as Toyota Vice President, African American Business Strategy for North America where he was responsible for engaging Hispanic and African American business and media communities and building a network of Toyota Associates and team members across regions to optimize relationships with these constituencies. Prior to assuming this role, Colon was vice president of product communications for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) U.S.A., Inc. where he was responsible for creating, gathering and managing information for promotion initiatives for Toyota brand vehicles in addition to product sales and training. Colon held various roles at Toyota regional offices and TMS headquarters in Torrance, California, including general manager for the Portland and Chicago regions and vice president of sales for the Toyota Division with responsibility for sales support of Toyota

regional offices, public companies and private distributors. Trustee Colon serves on the board of Directors for Black Star Project and the First Tee of South Los Angeles. IN 20ll, he was selected to serve on the Board of Directors for California State University, Los Angeles’ Friends of Engineering, Computer Science and Technology and is a member of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Los Angeles Leadership Council. In support of its mission to develop leaders, inform policy and educate the public, Colon was recently appointed to Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Colon is recipient of the bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana. In May 2011, Mr. Colon was awarded the Honorary Doctorate degree in Humane Letters from Martin University in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Salvador Diaz-Verson, Jr. (1995)Sarasota, Florida

Salvador Diaz-Verson, Jr. is Chairman and President of Diaz-Verson Capital Investments, a company formed in 1993. Previously retired as President and Chief Investment Officer of American Family Life Assurance Company (AFLAC), during which time the Company rose to become a Fortune 500 Company, where among his many achievements was the diversification of the specialty insurance company’s operations and holdings, nationally and internationally, opening offices in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, the Cayman Islands, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Mr. Diaz-Verson serves on the Board of Directors of the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame; Boys & Girls Club of America; Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation (GA); St. Francis Hospital (GA); American Cancer Society; United Way; Atlanta Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Regions Bank

and Clemente Capital; Vestmark Inc.; Foodsource, LLC; and Diaz Foods, the largest Hispanic-owned company distributing Latino and Specialty Food Products in the nation. The Florida State University (FSU) alumnus was Inducted into the the University’s hall of fame in 2001. Recipient of the Masters in Business Administration degree in Business Administration degree from Florida State University (FSU), Mr. Diaz-Verson was inducted into the University’s Hall of Fame in 2001.

Thomas Wesley Dortch, Jr. (AU’86) (2010)Atlanta, Georgia

Entrepreneur Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TWD, Inc. a consulting firm with emphasis on business development, public relations, and fundraising. Engaged in a variety of business ventures, Mr. Dortch is Chief Executive Officer of Atlanta Transportation Systems, Inc., a para-transit system that manages non-emergency transportation for the State of Georgia, Chairman and CEO of Cornerstone Parking, Chairman of Lancor Parking Management, LLC, and Managing Partner of FAD Consulting, LLC, a diversity management, marketing and events management company. Mr. Dortch holds the singular distinction as Chairman Emeritus of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Under his guidance, the organization expanded from 43 to 102 chapters throughout the United Sates, Africa, England and the West indies. Mr. Dortch is founder of the National

Black College Alumni Hall of Fame, Inc., a vehicle to highlight the major contributions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and their graduates; co-founder of the Georgia Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (GAME), an advocacy organization for minority business development; and, co-founder of the Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance, a capacity building and business development organization for the construction and transportation industries. His organizational affiliations include the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia; Black/Jewish Coalition; Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau; Atlanta Business League and Fulton Dekalb Hospital Authority. Among the numerous awards received, Mr. Dortch is recipient of the U.S. Presidential Citation for Volunteerism; Martin Luther King, Jr. Distinguished Service Award; Turner Broadcast Trumpet Leadership Award; 2004 Man of the Decade Award by the 100 Black Men of America, Inc; and, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation 2004 Distinguished Phoenix Award. Mr. Dortch holds the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Pre-Professional Social Work from Fort Valley State University and Master of Arts Degree and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration from Atlanta University. A Georgia State University Ford Fellow in the Urban Policy Administration Program, Dortch is the recipient of honorary doctorate degrees from Fayetteville State University, Fort Valley State University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Livingstone College, and Jarvis Christian College.

Ernest G. Green (1999)Washington, D.C.

Ernest G. Green most recently served as Partner, Matrix Advisors, Managing Director of Public Finance for Lehman Brothers in Washington D.C, and Barclays. In 1957, Green and eight other African-American students, later known as the “Little Rock Nine,” were the first to integrate Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, following the 1954 U.S. Supreme Court Brown vs. Board of Education decision declaring school segregation illegal. Several books, movies and documentaries have chronicled Mr. Green and his eight classmates’ experience during their historic year at Central High School. On November 9, 1999, President William Clinton presented the “Little Rock Nine” presented with the nation’s highest civilian honor, the “Congressional Gold Medal.” Subsequently, Mr. Green completed high school, earning his diploma from Central High School. He is recipient of

the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree Sociology from Michigan State University. Mr. Green has served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employment and Training during the administration of President Jimmy Carter and appointed by President William Clinton as Chairman of the African Development Foundation. On appointment by for-mer United States Secretary of Education, Richard W. Riley, he served as Chairman of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Capital Financing Advisory Board. Mr. Green serves on the board of Fisk University; National Association of Securities professionals (NASP), where he served as Chairman for two consecutive years; Quality Education of Minorities (QEM); Council, United State Conference of Mayors; Action International, and Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of Sigma Pi Phi and Omega Psi Phi Fraternities. The recipient of countless awards during his lifetime, Mr. Green has been awarded honorary doctorate degrees from the University of Arkansas (2012), Spelman College, Central State University and Tugaloo College.

Richard Holmes (AU’84) (2010)Atlanta, Georgia

Richard Holmes is retired Senior Vice President of the Metro Atlanta Region for Georgia Power. Prior to appointment as Corporate Compliance Officer in 2004, Mr. Holmes maintained responsibility for electric operations, sales and marketing, customer service/business offices, governmental relations and community economic development for Georgia Power’s 1.2M customers in metropolitan Atlanta. Mr. Holmes previously served on the boards of the Georgia State Department of Community Health (Chairman), Fort McPherson Local Redevelopment Authority, Literacy Action, Kennesaw State University Foundation, Columbus State University Foundation, American Association of Blacks in Energy, Atlanta Branch NAACP, Atlanta Beltline Partnership, and the Atlanta PoliceFoundation. In 1999, he served as Chairman of the Board of the Cobb Chamber of

Commerce, becoming the first African-American to lead the second largest Chamber in Georgia. He is a graduate of Leadership Georgia, Leadership Atlanta, Leadership Cobb, Leadership Columbus and the Regional Leadership Institute. Mr. Holmes earned his BS degree from Columbus State University and MBA from Atlanta University. He also completed the Harvard University Business School Program for Management Development. Mr. Holmes is current chair of the Board of Trustees Building and Grounds Committee.

Tharon Johnson (CAU 01) (2013)Atlanta, Georgia

Tharon Johnson, renowned political strategist, is founder of the Paramount Consulting Group, a bipartisan firm specializing in government affairs, lobbying and campaigns. In addition to advising members of Congress, leaders in state government, former and current mayors of Atlanta and a presidential campaign, he provides insights and analysis of political developments at the national, state and local levels offering insights in publications such as Newsweek, The Washington Post, New York Times, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Political Insider, Politico, Roll Call, The Hill and other publications. He has appeared frequently as key contributor on several new channels, including CNN, WSB-TV 2 and Georgia Public Broadcasting’s “Political Rewind” and Lawmakers. Johnson has amassed an extensive and successful record campaign background and campaign

experience over the last decade. He has served as Southern Regional Director for the 2021 Obama for America Campaign; led reelection campaign efforts for President Obama in 11 southern states, including battleground states, Florida and North Carolina. Locally, he was senior advisor, strategist and campaign manager for former Atlanta Mayor, Kasim Reed; and, spearheaded successful campaigns on behalf of former Congressmen, John Lewis and John Barrow and, a judge, members of the General Assembly, county commissioners, City Counsel, sheriff and school board candidates. Recipient of several recognitions, Johnson was recognized as 2010 Campaign Manager of the year by the American Association of Political Consultants; 2012 Georgia Trend Magazine’s 40 under 40 Award as one of Georgia’s Best and Brightest; Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “’40 under 40” Rising Business and Community Leaders” Award; and, one of James Magazine’s “Top 25 most influential Georgian’s.” He is also recipient of Clark Atlanta University’s Unsung Hero Award. An alum, Tharon was awarded the Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 2001.

R. William (Bill) Ide, III (2004)Atlanta, Georgia

R. William Ide, III, a partner in the law firm Akerman LLP, specializes in representing boards of directors, audit committees, and management with special investigations, ethics, corporate governance, crisis management, and strategic advice. He is a former member of the Boards of Directors of Popeyes and Albemarle Corporation. He has served as general counsel to Monsanto, Counselor to the United States Olympic Committee, and President of the American Bar. He chairs the EastWest Institute Board Executive Committee, serves on the boards of Clark Atlanta University, MetaJure and Rimidi. He co-chairs the Conference Board ESG Center. Additionally, Mr. Ide is a member of the Georgia StateUniversity Board of Visitors, Law School. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia (Law Review), Master of Business Administration in Finance from Georgia State

Ms. Ingrid Saunders Jones (2003)Atlanta, Georgia

Ingrid Saunders Jones retired as senior Vice President of Global Community Connections for the Coca-Cola Company and Chair of The Coca-Cola Foundation. Under her leadership, the Foundation contributed more than $340 million to support a wide range of sustainable community initiatives and funds including the Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship Program for first generation college students. Ms. Jones has served as Chair of the National Counsel of Women. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Coca-Cola Africa Foundation; Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation; Clark Atlanta University Cancer Center; Congressional Black Caucus Foundation; The Ohio State University President’s Council on Women; Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University; and the National Board of Directors for Girl Scouts. She is a member of the

Rotary Club of Atlanta and the Society of International Business Fellows. Ms. Jones is the recipient of numerous awards for her work and contributions including the 2011 Jackie Robinson Humanitarian award; the 2010 Distinguished Citizen Award from the Boy Scouts of America; the 2010 Corporate responsibility Award from ESSENCE Magazine; the 2008 Executive Leadership Council Achievement Award; The President’s Award from Morehouse College; The Ohio State University Foundation’s John B. Gerlach Development Award and the Georgia State University School of Business Hall of Fame Award. A native of Detroit, Ms. Jones earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education at Michigan State University and Master’s Degree in Education at Eastern Michigan University. She is the recipient of honorary doctorate degrees from her alma mater, Michigan state University, Spelman College and Knoxville College. Ms. Saunders Jones serves as chair of the Board’s Institutional Advancement and University Relations Committee.

Joel Katz (2018)Atlanta, Georgia

Joel Katz has been ranked Billboard Magazine’s number one entertainment in its Power 100’ list of most influential executives in the music business. He has been called “the dealmaker who thinks outside the box.” The world’s most famous entertainers place their trust in him to craft the breakthrough deals that boost their careers, cultivate their talents, and safeguard their assets. His star-studded client roster includes music industrylegends from an array of genres, as well as music producers, record companies, concert promoters, and corporate heavy hitters. Katz is the Founding Chairman of Greenberg Taurig’s Global Entertainment and Media Practice and the Founding Shareholder of the Atlanta Office. Katz’s areas of concentration include entertainment law, executivecompensation agreements, entertainment-related corporate acquisitions; mergers and

consultations of multi-national and multi-media entertainment companies. He has negotiated significant contracts on behalf of the Recording Academy, negotiated and closed financing arrangements to finance music television programming globally, negotiated the sale of Michael Jackson’s 50% stake in Sony/ATV Music Publishing to Sony Corp; negotiated employment agreements on behalf of more than thirty senior industry executives. Wendy Lewis (2012) South Orange, New Jersey

Prior to retirement as the McDonald Corporation’s Chief Diversity Officer, Global, Wendy Lewis served as Senior Vice President of Diversity and Strategic Alliances in the Office of the Commissioner for Major League Baseball where she created the Diversity Economic Impact Engagement Initiative to advance the MLB’s current workforce and supplier diversity efforts and initiated methodologies for cultural assessments, developed diversity economic platforms and promoted industry-wide diversity training. In 2006, Ms. Lewis led the team that developed MLB’s Executive Development Program, a new talent pipeline, and a two-year rotational career development program to increase MLB’s high-potential talent pool and agenda for succession planning. Ms. Lewis was the leading strategist for MLB’s Diverse Business Partners Program, the premier minority procurement program in

Professional Sports. Since its formation, well over $500 million dollars were directed towards supporting thousands of minority and women-owned businesses. Previously, Ms. Lewis served as the Vice President of Strategic Planning for Recruitment and Diversity and Vice President of Human Resources and Office Operations for Major League Baseball. As corporate liaison to all 30 Major League Clubs, she formulated an infrastructure for Human Resources Management and instituted industry best practices. The recipient of several awards, including the Schaffner Award for preeminence in her field, Outstanding Service from Northwestern University; Pioneer Award from the National Association of Black Journalists; MLB’s (Minorities in Business) annual award for outstanding effort in diversity within sports, and “The Effie Manley Sports Executive of the Year”, presented by Rainbow/PUSH; honored by the Network Journal as one of “25” Influential Black Women in Business and listed one of the “Most Influential Minorities in Sports in Sports Illustrated. Ms. Lewis received the Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Ms. Lewis serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees Academic Affairs Committee.

Michael E. Melton (2007)Atlanta, Georgia

Michael E. Melton is Founder, President and CEO of TME Enterprises (“TME”). Headquartered in Atlanta, the company owns and manages a portfolio of commercial real estate properties and restaurants. He is also an attorney with more than 30 years’ experience in the field of intellectual property law (litigation and licensing) and the management of intellectual property law departments, in addition to which he is a published author and frequent lecturer on topics pertaining to intellectual property law. He currently practices law as a partner with the firm of Norris & Melton, PLLC and its intellectual property management, consulting and licensing arm, IP Counsel Consultants. Previously held positions include Chief Intellectual Property Counsel for PH2 Solutions, Inc.;

Vice President and Director of Intellectual Property for Motorola, Inc.; Deputy General Counsel for Intellectual Property for Pitney Bowes; Director and Chief Patent Counsel for MCI Communications Corporation; and European Legal Counsel for Texas Instruments, Inc. Mr. Melton is a member of Leadership Greater Washington class of 200; Life Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation; Board member, One Hundred Black Men of America, Inc. and President of the Washington, D.C. Chapter; Principal and founding member of the Board of Directors of the Merit Bank (Overland Park, Kansas); Board member, Urban League of Northern Virginia; Audit Committee member of the National Head Start Association; and member Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. Prior affiliations include Advisory Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington and Board Member of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. He holds the Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Missouri and is a life member of the University’s alumni association. Valerie R. Love (2020)Atlanta, Georgia

Amassing more than twenty years’ experience in finance, operations, labor relations and human resources, Valerie Love recently joined the Coca-Cola Company as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Coca-Cola, North America. Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Ms. Love served as Global Vice President, Human Resources, supporting Johnson & Johnson Consumer Supply Chain and Global Quality and Worldwide Vice President of Human Re-sources at Johnson and Johnson Vision Care. Prior to Johnson and Johnson, she was Vice President, Human Resources at Tyco Integrated Security (Tyco International) where she sup-ported the Global Thermal Controls Division and Commercial Security Operations. Trustee Love began her professional career at General Motors where a 20-year tenure included both local and international assignments (Argentina and Germany) with increasing levels of

responsibility; each new appointment incorporating a myriad of functions: finance, operations (manufacturing) and HR. During her time at General Motors, Ms. Love led Global Compensation for all salaried employees. She was also the HR Strategic Business Partner for Sales & Marketing, Global Design, Global Research and Development and Strategic Initiatives where she led and provided overall direction and coordination of salaried HR activities., with responsibility to grow the talent base of both technical and leadership staff. She provided HR consultation advice and support during the design and implementation stages for new facilities in emerging markets, playing a key leadership role in launching Greenfield (startup) sites in China, Thailand, Poland, Brazil, Argentina and Tel Aviv, Israel). A participant in several volunteer activities at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care (JJVC), she served as Executive Co-Sponsor for JJVC African Ancestry Leadership Council (AALC) and Executive Champion for the JJVC Diversity & Inclusion Council. Currently on the Board of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) and member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), she served as Board Member for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) North East Florida chapter. Ms. Love received the Bachelor of Business Administration from Tennessee State University and Master of Business Administration from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Charmaine Ward-Millner (2020)Atlanta, Georgia

Charmaine Ward-Millner is Corporate Relations Director for Georgia Power where she is responsible for building and maintaining key state and national relationships with diverse organizations and opinion leaders. Her efforts focus on forming strategic alliances with diverse segments of the Company’s 2.5 million customers, corporate partners and civic organizations to garner support and promote advocacy for important industry and com-pany issues. Mrs. Sanford has served in leadership positions within the real estate community at the county, state and national levels. Having served in leadership capacities within the DeKalb Association of Realtors, she was elected first African-American Female President and subsequently awarded the Clark Harrison Community Service Award in 2009 and Realtor of the Year award in 2010. As member of the Georgia Association of Realtors, she served on the Education Advisory Committee for the Georgia Real Estate Commission. Named Broker of the Year and Past Chairman of the Board of the Empire Board of Realtists, she served as Past Chair and member of the Board of Directors for the

Snype Jr., is Senior Contract Administrator and Procurement Professional at the International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation. Having earned several promotions in this role, he negotiates, manages, and performs as focal point for a variety of complex procurement contracts with independent suppliers. Trustee Snype has served his alma mater as both dedicated alumnus and member of the Board of Trustees. A devoted member of the National Alumni Association, he has held elected and appointed offices at the local and national levels including serving as President of the Miami, Metro Washington, D.C. and South Florida chapters. Trustee Snype has also served as Chair of the Alumni Association Constitution and Budget committee and Representative to the Board on behalf of the

National Alumni Association. Dr. Alvin Trotter has made health, family unity and the education of youth the guiding force in his life. On graduation from the UCLA Medical School and completion of his residency at the Los Angeles County Martin Luther King Jr. Medical Center, Dr. Trotter opened a private medical practice in Los Angeles, specializing in internal medicine. Following a successful private practice, he and four associates opened Regent Medical, where they offer full-service primary care to patients in the Los Angeles/Inglewood communities. Trustee Trotter is devoted to uplifting youth and to the health, educational and economic empowerment on behalf of the communities he serves. Among his affiliations are the American Medical Association, National Medical Association and the Los Angeles Medical Society. Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson is the episcopal leader of the North Georgia Area of the United Methodist Church. Elected bishop in 2016 by the Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference of the United Methodist Church and consecrated on July 15, 2016, commencing her assignment to the North Georgia Episcopal area on September 1, 2016. A Florida native, Bishop Haupert-Johnson is a graduate of the University Florida (B.S.) in Business Administration, University of Florida College of Law (J.D.) and Candler School of Theology, Emory University (M.Div.). Before answering her call to the ministry, she was a federal law clerk and a litigator with the Tampa law firm of Carlton, Fields. Following

graduation from Candler (summa cum laude); she was ordained deacon in the Florida Annual Conference in 1996 and elder in 1998. She subsequently served pastoral appointments as associate pastor at 4,400 member First UMC, Lakeland; as pastor of a 300-member rural/suburban church, Hillsborough UMC, Tampa; and lead pastor of two large membership churches as pastor of a 300-member rural/suburban church, Hillsborough UMC, Tampa; and lead pastor of two large membership churches in Cape Coral and Ocala Florida. As district Superintendent, Bishop Haupert-Johnson guided a diverse area of both large and small churches; urban, suburban and rural; African-American, Haitian, and Hispanic churches; a Native American ministry; large camp and retreat center and vibrant campus ministry. Devin P. White is Managing Partner in Palmetto Verification Solutions (now Palmetto Security Services, LLC), providing consulting, fingerprinting, background screening, security equipment, and guard services/training. Prior to this, for nine years he served as Director of Clark Atlanta University’s Bishop Cornelius L. Henderson Student Center. Mr. White’s early career began in the finance industry, working for several years with MONY group. As ninth president of the National Alumni Association, he holds distinction as the first and youngest male elected president, he was recently elected to a fourth term as President and National Alumni Association representative to the Board of Trustees. Primarily focusing on the subject of Pan-Africanism and Pan African politics, Dr. Kurt B. Young is Associate Professor and Department Chair of Political Science, with additional areas of specialization including Africana political thought, Africana political movements, African & Caribbean political thinkers, and Black politics and political science. Dr. Young’s publications have appeared in the Journal of Pan African Studies, where he was also invited to serve as Guest Editor for the widely read Special Commemorative Edition on Frantz Fanon. Other writings appear in journals such as the Journal of Third World Studies, Journal of Ethnic Politics, International Journal of Africana Studies, Journal of Political Ideologies, and Peace Review. Prior to CAU, Dr. Young taught at the University of Central Florida, and held posts at other institutions within the historic Atlanta University Center

including Morehouse College and Spelman College. Dr. Young currently serves on the Board of the Walter Rodney Foundation and the Arthur Green, Jr. Memorial Foundation. Dr. Young was born in Belize City, Belize and grew up in Jersey City, NJ. He currently resides in Tampa, Florida. Dr. William H. Boone is Associate Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science at Clark Atlanta University. He previously served as Associate Provost, Dean of Graduate Studies/Research and Sponsored Programs and chair of the Department of Political Science. Boone has served as a Faculty Fellow with the United States Office of Personnel Management, and as an Adjunct Fellow with the Southern Education Foundation. He has served on the faculty of the Africana Women’s Center and has served as a lecturer at the Georgia Institute of Technology. From 1986-89 Dr. Boone served as producer of the television series Black Perspectives. Currently Boone serves as co-producer,

writer and Host of the cable TV series, Politically Speaking. Dr. Boone has served as President of the National Conference of Black Political Scientist. Professor Boone has authored or co-authored publications in the areas of black political parties, state legislative activities, energy policies and the social, political and economic impact of governmental actions on rural communities. Boone is an active member of various professional organizations, and has served as a chairperson, panel organizer, presenter, and local arrangements chair for many conferences. National and local news mediaoutlets frequently consult Dr. Boone. Noted publications include: “Transportation and Housing Energy Policies…”, “Intergovernmental Relation between the State and Federal Government”, and “Lower Socio-Economic and Minority Households in Camden County, Georgia.” Boone is recipient of awards in the areas of teaching and scholarship and service. Following a fourteen-year term (2005-2019) at Miles College; one of the longest-serving for a college president, Dr. George T. French, Jr. assumed the Presidency of Clark Atlanta University on September 1, 2019. A native of Louisville, Ky. President French earned the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in political Science, with emphasis on policy analysis, from the University of Louisville. Following completion of two years of study at the University of Richmond Law School and while serving as Director of Development at Miles College, he completed the third year of law school at Miles College, earning the Juris Doctor degree.

President French subsequently received the Ph.D. in Higher Education from Jackson State University. By appointment to the presidency of Clark Atlanta University, Dr. French leads the largest of the UNCF member-institutions in the nation among and private HBCU’s and within the state of Georgia. A nationally recognized leader and influencer in higher education and educational policy as well as Congressional appointee, Dr. French has served on the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity under three Secretaries of Education and two Presidents of the United States; three-term member of the Board of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC); Chair of the Atlanta University Center Consortium (Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Spelman College and Morehouse School of Medicine); Chair of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAC) Council of Presidents; and, member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) Board of Directors and member of the national diverse council of Regions Bank since 2011.Since assuming the Presidency at Clark Atlanta University, Dr. French counts among his most notable and significant achievements the following: exponentially exceeding fundraising records in the history of the University; maintaining stable enrollment in the midst of global pandemic; and, to position the University for future unprecedented growth; developing and expanding corporate and community relationships.
