ABOUT THE CAMP DIRECTOR

Sean Esterhuizen just finished his third season as head coach at Clarion University and is excited at the foundation that his new squad has laid for 2017. Esterhuizen has over 100 collegiate wins in nine years and 326 wins as a high school coach.

“For three years we have been building a new soccer culture at Clarion. Our focus is on character and commitment, with a strong blend of talent drawn from nine different states. Our mission is to build Clarion soccer into a state and national power that plays a crisp, creative, confident style of soccer built on a core foundation of commitment, respect, caring and integrity.”

~ Coach Sean

WHY CLARION RESIDENTIAL SOCCER CAMPS?

“Last summer was awesome! Very well organized and fun camp with great buildup from personal skills to putting it together as a team. Coaching staff was excellent, facilities were great and the whole experience was positive from our seventh graders with no soccer experience to our 11th graders with years of experience. Loved the Clarion River float! Great kick start to the season to learn new things for preseason training!” ~ Coach Angie Fenush of West Branch High School, Morrisdale, PA

“FUN FACTOR”: The “Fun Factor” is HUGE at Clarion. We like and respect each other and we look for opportunities to celebrate success – YOUR success! On the field, we work hard, but with purpose. Off the field, we engage each other and find fun moments to build lasting memories – and do lots of team-building activities, games and contests. “BE RECOGNIZED”: Coach Sean is a huge believer in giving opportunity to players who want to separate themselves from the pack, players who have the desire to learn and the ambition to be the best. We are always looking for AMBITIOUS talent. If Clarion is a school you might want to attend down the road, then coming to one of our camps is the perfect way to explore while also giving us a chance to assess your potential. “EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE”: At camp, we take pride in getting to know YOU and finding ways to give you the information to take your game to the next level. We want learning to be the foundation of your camp experience. At the end of camp, we want you to leave with a sense of accomplishment, a sense of having advanced your skills and knowledge so that you are closer to achieving your personal and team goals. “GREAT FACILITIES”: Clarion University offers the perfect mix of academic and sports facilities, coupled with excellent dorms and exceptional food. “TRAIN WITH THE CLARION WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM” Members of the Clarion women’s soccer team serve as overnight monitors and assistant coaches in the camps and bring a personalized touch, blended with lots of laughter and fun.

“We want our campers to be challenged and enthused by our approach! We want them to be recognized by name and leave camp with DEEPER KNOWLEDGE and a newfound, INTENSE, love for the game!” ~ Assistant Coach Kevin Griffin
