Special  Olympics!  Held  at  Hendersonville  High  School  

April  11th      

         As  luck  would  have  it,  the  weather  was  great!    Lots  of  volunteers  and  smiles  were  abundant!    Thanks  to  Olympic  Village  coordinator,  Tonya  Harris,  and  Concession  Stand  coordinators,  Mike  Jackson,  and  Sonia  Gironda    (&  Smart  Start  staff  Alicia  Hutchison  and  Eric  Woodall)  for  helping  make  Civitan’s  contribution  to  the  Henderson  County’s  Special  Olympics  a  huge  success.    Special  thanks  to  all  Club  members  who  took  part  in  the  day  in  one  way  or  another.    Special  thanks  to  Carolina  Village  for  financial  support  (Don  Soula  requesting)  Hot  Dog  World  for  hot  dogs  (Bob  Zura)    Beau  Waddell,  Triangle  Stop  for  drinks  and  chips  (Mike  Jackson)  and  Ingles  –Starbucks  for  coffee!

Membership Dues- It’s that time again

For those paying their dues every six months, dues were due April 1st. Membership dues are $55 for six months.

Next payment is October 1st. You may bring your payment to our next meeting or, if

We  are  delighted  to  have  West  High,  Jr.  Civitan  Club  officers  and  sponsor,  Denise  Cope  update  us  with  their  Club  happenings  and  news  at  our  April  22nd  meeting.                Additionally,  2013  Civitan  high  school  scholarship  recipients  will  be  introduced  and  speak.  Please  make  plans  to  attend!
