Super Saver Program

Upon customer request, Waste Management will provide eligible customers with a 35-gallon “Super Saver” cart, in place of your 96-gallon cart. The “Super Saver” rate is 20 percent less than standard trash service. Customers who opt for this service will have the small “Super Saver” cart delivered and must return their larger trash cart. Ideal candidates for the “Super Saver” program only fill their current 96-gallon trash cart about 1/3 full on a weekly basis. DISCOUNT INFORMATION:

Senior Discount- 20 percent off for Senior Citizen and low-income customers who are either 60 years of age or older and considered to be the head of the household,

or qualify for and receive lifeline telephone service.

Bulk Billing- Customers in a mobile home park, condominium or home owners association can receive an 8 percent discount on all units when billed together,

except for the first unit billed.

Greenwaste Discount- $2.00 per month discount for customers who do not have a greenwaste cart. A greenwaste exemption must be approved by the City in

advance.

Annual Discount- Residential customers who pay for 11 months of service in advance will receive the 12th

month of service for free.

Super Saver Discount- 20 percent off for eligible customers who opt for a smaller 35-gallon trash cart.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) AND E-WASTE DISPOSAL EVENT Remember, household hazardous waste and

electronic waste require special disposal. Here are

some tips to manage your hazardous waste

consumption:

Buy Smart - Purchase non-toxic or less hazardous products and only the amount you need.

Use It Up - Finish all unused products and recycle the containers or donate what is left over.

Store Properly - Keep products out of reach of children and pets.

Protect Our Communities - It is illegal to throw HHW/E-Waste into household garbage, toilets and sinks, or storm drains. HHW can seep into the groundwater, waterways and oceans, causing contamination of our drinking water, beach closures and health hazards to swimmers.

Dispose Properly - Los Angeles County is hosting a FREE mobile HHW/E-Waste collection event on November 14th from 9AM-3PM at the following location:

REMINDER! - Safely dispose of needles, lancets and other sharps from your home. Contact customer service for your free container delivered directly to your house! Limit one free kit per year, with additional kits available for a $5 co-pay.

DO YOUR DOODY, PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET! It’s easy to see that Santa Clarita residents love their pets! The City’s dog parks--Central Bark and Canine Country are alive with the City’s four-legged residents. It’s great that we have so many furry friends in the SCV, but if you don't watch your step, you may run into a bit of a mess. Besides being unsightly and smelly, animal waste can cause water pollution in our storm drains and the Santa Clara River.

When walking your dog in the community,

remember to clean up after your pet. Take

along a baggie with you to pick up waste,

tie it up, and then put it into a trash can.

By taking a few simple steps to clean up

after your pet, you can help keep our City

beautiful and keep our water clean. Also,

remember at home, pet waste doesn’t go

into the recycling or green waste carts…

only the trash cart!

GOT JUNK? Contact Waste Management Customer Service at (661) 259-2398 to schedule a FREE bulky item pick up. Santa Clarita residents with trash service in good standing enjoy three (3) bulky item pick ups per year! Bulky Items include: couches, washers, dryers, refrigerators, mattresses, furniture, appliances, tree trimmings and even extra bags of trash that do not fit into your trash cart. *Bulky item pick ups must be scheduled 48 hours in advance of your regular trash collection day. Additional bulky items can be dropped off at no charge at the Waste Management Yard, located at 25772 Springbrook Rd.
