The City of San Diego is developing a Pedestrian Master Plan (PMP) to guide the planning and implementation of pedestrian improvement projects. The Pedestrian Master Plan will help the City enhance neighborhood quality and mobility options by facilitating pedestrian improvement projects. Over the past several months, the project team has conducted field investigations, researched existing conditions and reviewed planning documents to develop recommended improvements for the seven communities included in Phase 4 of the Master Plan: In December 2012, the City and consultant team will conduct two Open House style public meetings to provide an update on the project progress. We encourage you to join us at either of these two events to discuss the Pedestrian Planning Process, review the Preliminary Recommendations and share your concerns and ideas for your community. Drop by anytime between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. on December 5th or 12th to review the detailed information for each community. City staff will be on-hand to help answer any questions you may have.
