The City of Phoenix strives to advance the economic growth of local businesses through its Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program.

The City requires the participation of SBE firms throughout ALL phases of contracts.

Subject to City of Phoenix Code, Chapter 18, Article Vl, pertaining to the participation of Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms.

The City of Phoenix SBE Goals Committee has established an SBE participation goal of 5% for this contract.

The successful submitter is required to meet or exceed the Required SBE Goal for ALL work performed on the construction contract.

The Prime Contractor is required to demonstrate good faith efforts to utilize certified SBE firms to achieve this goal during the life of this contract.

Project DescriptionLift Station No. 43 is located on the west side of 75th

Avenue approximately 2,000 LF south of SouthernAvenue.

Project includes the operational improvements requiredto bring the lift station up to current design standards,provide reliability for City of Phoenix O&M staff, andincrease the lift station capacity.

Scope of WorkLift Station No. 43 Operational Improvements includes:

• Removal of the existing pumping equipment, discharge piping, valve vault, bypass, odor scrubber, and miscellaneous appurtenances.

• Installation of three new submersible raw sewage pumps.

• Construction of the wet well interior.

• New discharge piping that includes a dedicated connection to each force main with a crossover bypass built-in.
