Steve JobsSteve Jobs was a famous American innovator and leader whose creativity would change the world. When Jobs was 21, he helped found Apple Computer. This company, with the help of Jobs, would go on to create many technological products we use today, including Macs, iPhones, and iPads.

Born in 1955, Jobs was adopted into a family at an early age. After a brief stint as a video game designer, Jobs teamed up with a friend named Stephen Wozniak to build a computer they called the Apple I in his family’s garage. From there, the duo would create the Apple Company in 1977, which would achieve great success as the personal computer revolution would take over America. Jobs took the lead on several important projects and took a particular interest in creating the Mac computer.

Jobs would venture beyond Apple, creating another company and later becoming an owner of Pixar, an animation studio that would achieve great success under his leadership. This company had a number of box office hits, including Toy Story. The company would be bought by Disney, and the deal made Jobs a billionaire. In 2006, Jobs returned to Apple and helped with important innovations to their new products.

Jobs’ leadership style was often considered demanding. He was a perfectionist who often challenged his employees in an abrasive manner. Regardless, he will be remembered as a visionary who changed the way we use technology.
