Transparency: You will receive a feedback on your proposal arguing each award criterion and its score

Four checks:

1. Eligibility criteria (yes/no)

2. Exclusion criteria (yes/no)

3. Selection criteria (yes/no)

4. Award criteria (scores with thresholds)

Relevance of the action (7 of 10): Alignment with Call including SME involvement, mainly substantial environmental benefits & innovation

Quality of the proposed actions (6 of 10): Soundness and coherence of project

Impact on target audience (6 of 10): Replication during and after the project, exploitation & business approach

Budget and cost-effectiveness (6 of 10): Appropriate level of effort per task/partner, justified costs, notably equipment/ co-financing

European added value (6 of 10)

Market Replication and Exploitation (1)

There is no single way how to achieve good market uptake but a lot of good examples that work:

GlassPlus (tiles from TVs), TiLeather (Chromium-free leather shoes), Natstocer (natural stone-like tiles from waste of the ceramic production) and more…: Products are directly sold to consumers

Sterilis: the machine for sterilization during the packaging process is being sold to food producers

WEEE trace: a process to trace better the waste from electrical and electronic equipment is being replicated in 80 collection centres

Market Replication and Exploitation (2)

NUMIX: Business agreements with big concrete producer under elaboration in order to mix granules produced from waste plastic into concrete to save on cement

RUCONBAR: Transfer of a solution (recycled tyres for noise barriers) from Croatia to Balkan countries, possibility of transfer to another sector (usage in railway tracks)

Greenbottle: an agreement with Walmart and Asda is set up to roll-out the eco-friendly milk bottle at all their UK stores

Value generated by the project being a EU-funded project as compared to local, regional & national actions

EU dimension of the market barriers and of the environmental challenges

Quantify! Provide numbers measuring the performance of your project using the indicators table: Realistic, but ambitious targets

Estimate appropriate efforts and costs Explain clearly the choice of partners and subcontracting Realistic time planning – account for the time needed for permits

(environmental / construction etc) – max. 3 years duration Ensure that you have attached the correct files when submitting your

proposal

Start early – a proposal needs time and evolution

Language check: correct spelling, use of words, explain acronyms

Please distinguish potential from realities during the project
