The Impact of ORVs on Species Diversity

Page 2: Cinder Hills Lab

Testing Sites:

Location 1: Area where ORVs are not allowed.

Location 2: Area where ORVs are allowed.

Observation

Page 4: Cinder Hills Lab

When comparing the two sites, we noticed…

• The site not allowing ORVs had substantially more vegetation, than the area allowing ORVs.

• More different types of species were easily spotted in the first location, making us question whether the ORVs had an impact on the environment.

Procedure and Research

Page 6: Cinder Hills Lab

Mark a plot of 400 sq meters for both test sites.

In the designated plot, search for every different type of plant species

living in the area.

Page 7: Cinder Hills Lab

Then put into a plastic bag, making sure to label which site

that it came from.
