Section 1: Introduction

The CIMB Renewal Guidelines contains instructions on how to configure and renew the

token certificate. The renewal process must be made within 30 days before expired.

Token Renewal Options There are 2 options to renew your CIMBBizchannel token.

1. Manual Renewal

2. Online Renewal

Manual Renewal 1. Renew manually by sending back the token and completed the Media Return Form.

To download the form, click Here.

2. Process Time

No Type Process Time

1 Walk-in to Digicert Around 45 minutes

2 Courier Upon received completed media

return form and token, Digicert

will process within 2-3 working

days. Then token and pin number

will be courier to you on separate

day.

Online Renewal 1. Renew token by visiting http://www.cimbbizchannel.com.

2. Guidelines for Online Renewal will be explained in detail in Section 2:

Configurations and Section 3: Online Certificate Renewal.

3. System Requirements

a. Operating System

i. Windows 7 (32-bit)

ii. Windows 7 (64-bit)

b. Web Browsers supported

i. Internet Explorer (version 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11)

c. Token

i. Black Token (2048)

Section 2: Configurations In this section, the configurations are required to perform at least one time.

Internet Zone configuration 1. Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Security > Internet >

Custom Level.

2. Scroll down and tick as screen shown.

5. Scroll down and tick as screen shown. Then click OK

6. Click Yes if the following appears.

7. Click Apply or Ok if the following screen appears.

Trusted Sites Zone configuration 1. Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Side >

Custom Level

2. Tick as screen shown below.

3. Scroll down and tick as screen shown below.

4. Scroll down and tick as screen shown below.

5. Tick as screen shown below. Then click OK.

6. Click Yes if the following appears.

7. Click Apply or OK if the following screen appears.

CIMB Trusted software installation (CIMB Trusted 2.exe) 1. Insert CIMB token.

2. Go to Start > All Programs > right click Internet Explorer > click on Run as

administrator.

3. Click Allow if it appears.

4. Visit http://www.cimbbizchannel.com.

5. Click Login

6. Click Proceed to Login

7. Select Digicert Renewal and click GO

8. Select a Certificate and click OK (Depends on computer. If you installed more than

1 certificate, the system will display like this.)

9. Tick Grant Permission and click OK (Depends on computer. If you installed more

than 1 certificate in your computer, the system will display like this.)

10. Go to Important and click HERE If the following screen appears.

11. Click Open if the following screen appears (Depends on computer.)

12. Install the cimbTrusted2.exe (Depends on computer)

13. Click Run

14. Click Install if the following screen appears.

15. Then click Finish

16. Please restart your computer now. This is required to make sure renewal process

successful within targeted time.

CIMB Intermediate Certificate installation

Intermediate Certificate

1. Visit https://www.digicert.com.my/download/rootcert/2048CIMB.cer and download

the certificate.

2. Once downloaded, install the certificate by double click the file and the screen will

appear like below. Followed by click Open.

3. Click Install Certificate

4. Click Next

5. Tick Place all certificates in the following store. Followed by click Browse.

6. If the following screen appears, tick Show physical stores. And then expand

Intermediate Certificate Authorities, followed by selecting Registry and click Ok.

7. Click Next

8. Click Finish.

9. Click OK.

Section 3: Online Certificate Renewal Please take note that all configurations highlighted in Section 2: Configurations is followed

accordingly before proceed to this section.

1. Insert CIMB token.

2. Go to Start > All Programs > right click Internet Explorer > click on Run as

administrator.

3. Click Allow if it appears.

4. Then visit http://www.cimbbizchannel.com.

5. Click Login

6. Click Proceed to Login

7. Select Digicert Renewal and click GO

8. Select a Certificate and click OK (Depends on computer).

9. Tick Grant permission and click OK (Depends on computer).

10. Change Token provider Information according to your Token type > then click

Renew Certificate

11. Click Yes if the following screen appears. (Depends on the computer)

12. Click Yes if the following pop up appears.

13. Enter your Pin number and click Login if the following screen appears.

14. Click Yes if the following screen appears.

15. Click Yes to delete the old certificate

16. Click OK to proceed

17. Certificate is renewed.

18. Your Certificate Path should be like shown screen. To view, open Internet

Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates > Personal >

Double click on user name > click on Certification Path
