Cierra Lynn Taylor, known as The Artist Cierra Lynn, is a professional visual artist from

Washington, DC. Cierra Lynn passionately fuses her love for vibrant colors, eclectic style,

empowering expressions and technical skills into mixed media art for all ages. A former

art teacher, Cierra Lynn turned her natural talent into a full-time career, after being laid-

off from her job when her daughter, Jaela, was a baby. Cierra Lynn has been featured in

dozens of art shows and she has created custom “Pop Portraits” for celebrities such as

Tamar Braxton, Janelle Monet and Fantasia, just to name a few. But her most inspiring

work comes from the workshops and paint parties she develops and hosts for children

and adults.

Cierra Lynn’s workshops are built to encourage people through visual art that they can

call their own masterpieces. She introduces themes such as, “Protect Your Petals” to

encourage girls to be mindful of their love and sexual decisions and “Love Yourself”,

which promotes self-esteem and individuality. She takes her guests “around the world”

with destination-themed parties such as Japan, Paris and Africa. She also loves to develop

beauty and style awareness through pampering-themed workshops with hands-on hair,

nails and clothing design demonstrations. When she’s not hosting workshops, she’s

building her gallery with canvases, style accessories and home décor items, which she

sells through her Etsy shop.

Cierra Lynn is also helping her budding-entrepreneur daughter, Jaela, who is now seven

years old, grow her own business affectionately called Accessory Doll. Jaela comes up

with her own designs for t-shirts, hair bows and jewelry and crafts each item. She’s

following in her mother’s footsteps by ensuring that each piece boasts a powerful message

of self-love, respect and optimism.

and professors would box me in, saying do this and

don’t do that. Now, as an artist, when things don’t

make sense, that’s when it makes sense the most.”
