Call to Worship
We come to this place where God pours out love on us,
we join our voices in praise, as our fears are left behind.
We gather with these people, those who seek to follow Jesus,
so we might walk the paths of service hand in hand.
We open our hearts to the gifts of the Spirit,
so that grace and peace might be the fruit we bear.
O give thanks to the Lord;
for God’s steadfast love endures forever.

Call to Confession
Prayer of Confession
God, you have never taken your steadfast love from us.
Everyday you love us, uphold us, provide for us.
But so often we give our attention and our energy to other messages
of love that beckon us daily.
We talk about how much we love things, special possessions, objects for purchase.
We worry about who loves us and fight with those we are supposed to love.
We are guilty of behaviors that cheapen and demean the meaning of love.
We judge the love between others that is different from our experience.
We are afraid to love and we let past mistakes and pain rule our lives.
Forgive us for failing to love as you have loved us.
(silent prayers of confession)
Declaration of Forgiveness (Titus 3:4-8)
“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us,
not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his
mercy, through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. This Spirit he
poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified
by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
Thanks be to God! In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

Offertory His Love is Flowing Like a River Jill Gallina, 1982
Chancel Choir
His love is flowing like a river, a gentle stream that knows no end.
And as you sail along life’s pathways, his love will guide you round each bend.
His love is flowing like a river, a well that springs eternally.
If you should drift along life’s journey, his love will like an anchor be.
His cup is overflowing with love for you. Drink from the gentle waters, fill your heart, too.
His love is flowing like a river, a gentle stream that knows no end.
If you should drift along your journey, his love will bring you home again.

The Potter’s Hand – a Summer of Art,
Art Making and Discerning God
“Arts exist at the heart of faith: faith is not a
concrete experience,
so we need arts to express our faith.”
Throughout the summer, FAVO, Faith Arts
Village Orlando, will host Sunday night
gatherings to explore ways to understand
and express faith through the arts. Each time
we gather, there will be 3 focuses:
▫ We will hear from an artist about
their art, their own experience of
creating art.
▫ We will share a devotion or
theme from scripture.
▫ We will create an artistic
response.

July 1, 15, 29
August 5, 19
