June & July June & July June & July June & July AT A GLANCE
Dear Church Family, It was great to be back from convention and worshipping with your o Father’s Day! We had a great time of worship! Brayden Deckman shared with the church that he had come to Jesus as his Savior, and Nathan and Lindsey Rich joined our church by mov-ing their membership from another sister church. Two awesome decisions by three awesome people!! I thank God for what He is doing in our church family! I know that we are all busy this summer so make sure to spend some time with your family, but in the process make sure you stay plugged in to your church family as well.
Speaking of ways to stay plugged in; listen to these opportunities.
For the next five Wednesday’s we will continue to meet at 12 noon for lunch and a
devotion/prayer time. Lunch is free! All you have to do is RSVP to the church
office by Monday afternoon if you can come. We start right at 12 noon and are
done within the hour. Take your lunch break with us if it works in your lunch
time, or if you are retired, take this opportunity to fellowship with your church
family.
This Wednesday June 22nd at the Oakhill campus, we will have our Wet-n-Wild
event for our children and their friends. Hope to see you there!! It is going to
be a blast, and a very wet time!!! The kids will love it!!
On July 3rd we will have a church-wide cook-out. We are encouraging people to
make homemade ice cream. The church will provide the rest of the food.
Come prepared ready to eat some grilled burgers, dogs, and sides and be ready
to have a great time with your church family. We will leave church and drive
down Oak Hill Road to our softball fields and light up the night skies with our
own little fireworks display. Make sure to come and let’s build some awesome
summer memories together!!
I am on vacation this week, or should I say on “stay”cation but I hope to see you on Wednesday night at our Wet-n-Wild event!
I love you and I love being your pastor,
Pastor Alan

There are still several openings in our music ministry for a sound tech and a computer / media tech. If you have experience operating a sound board / mixer, or if you are familiar with computers, then please contact Jason Wool-sey to become a part of this Worship Ministry Team. Training will be pro-vided. If you have recently ordered Sermon CD’s you can pick them up at the Wel-come Center counter. The process for ordering sermon copies is fairly simple and easy to use. Simply fill out the sermon CD request form found in the bul-letin and place it in the offering plate along with two dollars per CD. Payment for the CD is owed at the time you place the order. We also have sermons available online at www.oakhillbc.org. You may download the sermons for free or they are available for podcast. I Look Forward to Seeing You on Sunday, Jason

Reminder, that decorating for VBS will be on Sunday, July 24th starting at 4:00 pm; and we will be serving pizza.
For the last four weeks, Campers on Mission from Indiana and Kentucky were with us working on our new fellowship hall. They did an incredible job! With their time with us now complete, we are looking for volunteers to wrap up some of the unfinished items. We will need help finishing some painting, cleaning out the new storage areas, and some carpentry. If you are interested in helping, please contact the church office or Michael Reeder directly at 812-228-9525 or at [email protected].
Hunger ministries spon-sored by Southern Baptists are funded through special gifts to the World Hunger Fund. We encourage each family to pick up a bread loaf bank, fill it with change (currency works too) and return it to the church in mid August. Banks may be picked up just outside the sanctuary. Since 1981, Oakhill has given over $30,000 to the World Hunger Fund.
