Church of the Saviour’s Annual Charge Conference is December 1 at 2 pm in the Great Hall. What is Charge Conference and why should I attend? Charge Conference is the annual meeting of the congregation where we reflect on the past year's accomplishments, anticipate where God is calling us next, elect leaders, and budget for the coming year. It is a great chance to learn more about how the church works and where we are going together. All members of Church of the Saviour are welcome with voice and vote. Rev. Benita Rollins will preside over the meeting. Edna Rhodes members will assemble Holiday Mugs for West Side Community House. These are distributed to their shut-in population. ADVENT DEVOTIONS There are two books available for purchase

in the church office. In 1741, John Wesley preached his famous sermon titled “The Almost Christian” in which he encouraged people to follow Christ wholeheartedly. We should not be satisfied with being almost Christian but rather strive towards being altogether a Christian. In Almost Christmas: A Wesleyan Advent Experience, author and pastor Magrey deVega leads a group of authors to explore how we can make the same commitment to Christ during Advent, connecting our Wesleyan heritage with the traditional Advent themes of Love, Hope, Joy, and Peace. ($10)

Advent: A Calendar of Devotions 2019 by Teer Hardy. Providing daily devotions for Christians preparing to celebrate Christ's birth. Beginning on the first Sunday of Advent and ending on Christmas Day, each day's devotional includes a suggested Scripture, a short devotion, and a closing prayer. ($1)
