Heritage Site.

Known as the Church of Santo Tomas de Villanueva it was built sometime
around 1797 or over two hundred years ago.

Built in 1831 it showcases Gothic-Renaissance and Gothic-Romanesque

Jaro Cathedral. Built in 1864 it is also called the Church of St. Elizabeth of
Hungary.

It’s a baroque church that has undergone a lot of renovations since then. Inside you will find
the Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria or the Lady of the Candles.

Guimbal Church. One of the oldest in the whole country.

The church was built using forced labor and was used not only for religious activities but
also as a watch tower for Moro raids that used to be rampant back then.

Cabatuan Church. The church of San Nicholas de Tolentino is a neoclassical structure that
was built in 1834.

The most massive Hispanic building in Iloilo and as it is made out of red brick it is also
considered to be the biggest such structure in the Visayas.
