Using the toolThe Community Mission team works with churches to ensure their health is wide ranging and continually developed in each of the 10 core areas.

We recognise that no church begins with a 0 in any of the areas and advise that those using this tool are open about their current situation. The hope with this tool is to initially assess a baseline on which change and progress (or deterioration) can be identified and measured.

As you use the tool consider what either end of the 10 point scale could and should look like in your context. Don’t compare yourselves with an unrealistic comparison but do also try and have your imagination stretched. This is a tool that involves a healthy integration of prayerful reflection and strategic action planning.
