Shelter

A Chumash house had a hole in the top for a fire and when it rained they would cover the hole and their door with animal skin.

At night the Chumash families would sit around the fire in their house and tell stories.

A Chumash house had 2 or 3 families living in a small house

and 7 families living in a big house.

The children slept on the floor on bunny fur and adults slept on special benches on sides.
