church or some Christian presence. Additionally, Akha Crafts is now run by the four full-time employees as an independent business, while still providing the village women the op-portunity for much-needed income. These developments allow us to focus our time and energies on new vistas. Ruth has been involved for some time in the development of the Chiang Rai International Christian School (CRICS), and she can be more

fully present to help meet the needs there. Chuck’s focus is on develop-ing deeper relationships with Akha pastors, creating curricula for focused study in discipleship and serving as a liaison between the various Akha Christian groups. With the creation of the Associ-ation of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), we are also exploring ways to expand our ministry to the Akha people outside Thai borders. In every-thing we do, we give thanks to God!
