I start off this year with much gratitude, deeply appreciating all my staff, parents and stakeholders who will continue to build CCKPS together with us. Guided by our motto ‘Excellence through Discipline and Diligence’, we will be relentless in our mission of growing the next generation, and bring CCKPS to greater heights! I take great joy in sharing with you our PSLE Results 2018, a testimony of the hard work and determination of all teachers and students. 98.8% of our students have articulated to Secondary 1 with 33.3% of them scoring 4A/A*. In addition, 20.6% of the students achieved a T-score of between 240 and 270. We are so proud of them and are confident they will do well in their respective secondary schools! This year, we will continue to nurture in every child an authentic desire to embrace our Desired Outcomes of Education – to have a good sense of self-awareness, a sound moral compass, and the necessary skills and knowledge to take on challenges of the future. Each child must learn to be responsible to his family, community and nation, appreciate the beauty of the world around him, possess a healthy mind and body, and has a zest for life. Specifically, every child will be nurtured to be: a confident person who has a strong sense of right and wrong, is adaptable and resilient, and knows himself; a self-directed learner who takes responsibility for his own learning; an active contributor who is able to work effectively in teams, is innovative and strives for excellence; and a concerned citizen who is rooted to Singapore, and committed to serve others.
