ship-trip across the ocean, to India, that he would find riches and such…

• Conquest: Columbus left in 1492 for his journey to the new world, India

Reasons for journey

• He wanted to find riches and land

• There was need for a trade route, so he went to find and or create one that connected Europe and India.

The Journey

• The sailors were forced to drink their urine and eat the leather from their shoes.

• Starvation and infection were common aspects of this time era that exceeded when taking on the ocean.
