CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY!
Thank you for joining in this
I just want to say a huge thank you for getting everyone together for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. With you – the organiser extraordinaire – at the reins, it’s going to be a cracker!
And remember: every jumper – and every penny raised – really can help save children’s lives.
Woolly wishes, Brea at Jumper HQ
A few quick steps to get you started:
1. SPREAD THE JOYTo make it the brightest, silliest, most generous day of the year, you need to:
• Put up the posters from your pack.
• Send out our emails or a calendar invite to make sure Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day is in everyone’s diary for Friday 14 December.
• Send regular reminders to your colleagues, friends, and family.
Can’t do 14 December? That’s okay. Just pick a date that suits you.
2. POP ON YOUR PULLOVER Wear a glitzy jumper. Wear a 3D jumper. Wear a bauble-y jumper. But always take off your tinsel before using the shredder. Please wear responsibly.
No need to splash out on a new sweater! You can swap, borrow, or bling up an old one. Trees, tinsel, snowmen, pompoms, fairy lights – go festive with baubles on. Share your photos and tag them #christmasjumperday
3. RAISE LIFE-SAVING FUNDS (PAGES 7-8)
This is what it’s all about. Collect £2 for every pullover and check out our top tips for making the most of the fun.
The more you raise, the more you’ll help children to build a brighter future.
4. MAKE IT COUNT (PAGE 9)Don’t forget to send us the money you worked so hard to raise. It’s quick and easy to pay in.
Just £2 could pay for the antibiotics to treat five children suffering from pneumonia, one of the biggest killers of children.
NOW THAT’S WEARING RESPONSIBLY.

MAKING THE WORLD BETTER WITH A SWEATER
could pay for educational toys
to help a child in the UK learn through
playing.
could help 16 children to recover from
diarrhoea through simple
rehydration salts.
could equip a midwife in
Afghanistan with a birthing kit so they can safely bring new life into the world.
could pay for a child to attend primary school
in Uganda for one year.
could provide a bicycle for a health worker in Tanzania so they can care for
children in places cars can’t reach.
could stock a school library in Rwanda with 75 brilliant
books.
could fund 36 inspirational teachers for one month in Lebanon.
STANDING TALLLouren is eight and lives in Kenya. He was born with fluid on the brain and his disability means he can’t walk. We’ve been by his side for five years now, giving him daily physiotherapy and helping him take his first few steps towards a future where anything is possible.

You’re helping children in the UK and around the world to make their mark on the world.
A WORLD OF DIFFERENCEJack’s mum lost her job while pregnant with his baby sister, Gracie. The family couldn’t afford the simple things all children need to grow and learn at home. So, we got them a highchair, table and chairs, and a light for Jack’s bedroom. It’s little things like this that can make a world of difference for children like Jack and Gracie – helping them get the best start and make their mark on the world.

SWEEPSTAKEUse the sweepstakes in your pack and get everyone to chip in to play. Ask local businesses or your workplace to donate prizes. That way every pound you raise can help save children’s lives.
How will it work? We suggest asking £2 per guess, with half donated and half going to the winner’s pot. Even better, why not ask around your workplace to see if you can get a prize donated. Please pay in your donations by 15 January. CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY
