Annual Congregational Budget Meeting & Potluck Sunday, January 12, 11:30 AM (one worship service at 10 AM)

Mark your calendars for this important part of congregational life. The primary focus of the meeting is a vote to approve the 2020 budget, but other business will include voting on constitutional bylaws and an update on the work of the “Values, Direction, Action” taskforce and next steps for the congregation.

For those who could not make the budget forums in November and December or have additional questions left unanswered, do not hesitate to contact Treasurer Dave Gunderson ([email protected]) or Administrator Don Boelter ([email protected]).

Please pray for the council, congregation, and this meeting as we together make decisions to faithfully respond to God’s call to be God’s people in this community and beyond.

Meeting Materials Currently available online (trinitylutheranchurch.com/council): constitutional amendments and edits to bylaws.

Additional materials will be made available online, and distributed by email and print ahead of the meeting.

News from the Endowment Committee As the year’s end approaches, the Endowment Committee at Trinity wants to reach out and ask if any other ministries have unmet financial needs. A modest amount of funds are still available after meeting the requests of our 2019 academic and professional grant scholarships.

Please contact Lin Russell ([email protected]) before the end of December with questions or to enquire further. The church website (trinitylutheranchurch.com/endowment), has the online application forms to request funding from the Endowment Committee as well as the five categories under which the committee is allowed to grant fund requests.

2020 Offering Envelopes Offering envelopes for calendar year 2020 have arrived and will be available in the Narthex near the office beginning Sunday, December 22.

Thank you to the many in this congregation who have transitioned to automatic, secure online giving over the past year. If you have yet to make the switch, and would like more information on how to set up online giving, contact Trinity Administrator Don Boelter ([email protected]).

New Mid-Week Evening Bible Study Starting January 8 Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in room 201

Trinity has offered a Wednesday morning bible study for many years, but many are unable to come during the day. Beginning January 8, join Jeff Tobin and Pastors Hector and Jade for a new Wednesday Evening bible study each week at 6:30 PM.

This bible study will seek to help participants live out the baptismal vow to follow Jesus more faithfully by encouraging a contextual reading of scripture, with awareness of our individual and collective economic, social and political world(s) and those of the bible.

All are welcome, and you don’t have to commit to coming each week. With questions or for more information, contact Jeff Tobin ([email protected]) or Pastor Jade ([email protected]).
