Christmas Movie Night: Chr istmas is r ight around the corner . I don’t
know about you, but I LOVE watching movies during the holiday season. On
Wednesday, December 19th, we will have our very own Christmas Movie night.
We will be watching The Polar Express while eating popcorn and some holiday
treats. To fit this in, we will be meeting at 5:30 instead of 6:15, so go ahead and
mark your calendars. But what is a proper movie night without PJs? So wear
your best holiday pajamas, bring pillows, blankets, and your fury friends for a
magical night of fun.

GLOCAL MISSIONS
WORLD HUNGER OFFERING We will collect food items and monetary donations through this Sunday to help alleviate hunger in our own community, nation and world through various Southern Baptist efforts. Grocery carts are located in the main hallway and at the courtyard entrance for your food donations. World Hunger Offering envelopes are also available, or you may use your “World Hunger” envelope included in your envelope mailing packet.
ANGEL TREE MINISTRY: Collection Day - December 16th We are collecting items for senior adults in our community. Please help this ministry be a success by taking a flyer off the Angel Tree Table in the main hall-way and purchasing the items on the list. Please do not wrap the gifts. They will be sorted and delivered to area nursing homes the week of December 17th. If you have any questions, please contact Steve Capps at [email protected] or Brenda Capps at [email protected].
LOTTIE MOON POST OFFICE “Mail” your Christmas cards addressed to other church members through the Lottie Moon Post Office. There will be a table for cards with a drop-box for money located in the main hallway beginning Wednesday, November 28th. The “Post Office” will be open through December 23rd. Please alphabetize your cards and put the whole name on the envelope (ie: John and Betsy Hancock). All proceeds will be given to the Lottie Moon Offering for International Missions. A donation of 25¢ per card is requested. Cards will not be hand delivered, so please stop by and “check your mail.”
INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS The Lottie Moon Christmas offering (LMCO) is named for Lottie Moon, a missionary to China whose letters pleading for mission support still resonate today. She died December 24, 1912, after living a life of total sacrifice to God and the people of China.
The LMCO provides critical funding for international missions efforts, allowing Southern Baptists to send and equip missionaries across the globe. Every dollar we give goes to further the Good News of Jesus Christ around the world. How you can help: 1) Use your week of prayer guide to pray daily dur ing
the Season of Prayer for International Missions, December 2nd-9th. 2) Attend
the International Mission Study on Wednesday, December 5th, to learn more
about how international missionaries are reaching people with the gospel.
3) Give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Covenant’s goal is $13,000.
4) Support Covenant’s Lottie Moon Post Office to exchange Christmas cards
with our church family. It will be open November 28th - December 23rd.
