The Warriors Way

Marketing: Billboards Bus shelters Trailers Posters Review sites e.g. imdb. Newspapers e.g. the Sun

Due to the violence portrayed during the trailer I’d assume that the trailer would be shown from five pm onwards to reach the target audience. Also, I would believe the posters for bus shelters will show little or no violence, possibly a ‘cool’ action pose to appeal to young adults.

Tron: Legacy

Marketing: Billboards Bus shelters Trailers Posters Review sites e.g. imdb Trailers during film intervals at cinemas Sequel of a well known movie e.g. Tron.

As a Disney film Tron: Legacy will most certainly gain a lot of attention much like its other recently released film, Alice in Wonderland. Despite seeming to appear to an older audience Disneys current movie’s have been extremely popular and therefore will attract viewers for Tron: Legacy.

With Jack Black as their main form of promotion ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ should do well in attracting Jack Black fans of all ages from late teens onwards.

Little Fockers Marketing: Billboards Bus shelters Trailers Posters Review sites e.g. imdb Trailers during film intervals at cinemas Word of mouth

As the two previous films have been a great success this movie may rely on common knowledge as well as word of mouth for this films promotion. With popular movie stars as actors for the main roles ‘Little Fockers’ should have no problem appealing to adults and young adults, especially as the stars have starred in hit movies for the same target audience e.g. Stardust and Night at the Museum.

Movie Comparison Overall, the majority of the movies

released during December are family/feel-good/comedy films that can be enjoyed by a large audience.

Often feel-good/family films/comedies are released around Christmas as its not only the holidays for the majority of families but also relative to moods associated with the season e.g. Fantasy may be associated with Father Christmas and such.

Also, as these films appeal to families it may attract more people to view it at a time (stereotypical two parents and two children) therefore raking in the money through the Box Office.
