MY CHRISTMAS ESSAY

In my country, Spain, is not special for religion country, many people don't

celebrate this for the christian tradicional but is tipycal to celebrate this days in

Christmas:

24TH OF DECEMBRE

In this day, people in Spain usually meet with the family to have a big dinner. The

tipycal food this day are soups of shellfish or fish and later roast pork or veal. And

the most important food is the dessert, because is a mix of Turrón (a tipycal sweet

product in Spain). After the dinner, the children go to bed very early because this

night coming Santa Claus and if they don't go early, Santa Claus don't give they

presents.

25TH OF DECEMBRE

When the sun comes after the specially nigth, the kids wake up very early to see

the toys that Santa Claus leave for they. When they saw all the presents, the go to

have a big lunch with the family again, and they show the presents to the other

members of the family.

31TH OF DECEMBER

This day the people have a dinner with sellfish, meat and many appetizers. This

day at twelve o'clock people have 12 grapes (one for chime)and then they hope to

have a good new year. People usually wears red clothes this night because it

bring good luck for the year.

1ST OF JANUARY

This day we do a special lunch with the family again, and we writte e-mails and cards for the family to have a good new year.
