Church members may honor or remember a loved one in a special bulletin insert by making a $15.00 donation. These donations will provide the poinsettias needed for decorating and any excess funds will be given to Missions. The deadline for orders is Monday, December 17 th . Name: Number of Poinsettias: In Honor of: In Memory of: The Altar Guild asks that the poinsettias please not be removed from the church until after the 6:00pm (Traditional in Sanctuary) or 5:00pm (Contemporary in Fellowship Hall) Christmas Eve services. It is time for Christmas Sharing! This event is so special because it gives our church family the opportunity to help parents provide Christmas gifts for their children while still giving the parents the opportunity to “shop” for their children. The excitement and joy of getting to pick the gifts they will give their children gives a sense of ownership and pride to the parents. Watching them shop for their children is such a blessing. It takes a lot of volunteers to make this event so wonderful. We have greeters, shoppers, wrappers, runners, check out and more. It truly takes a village to make this event happen. This year, we have the privilege of sponsoring 108 children from 32 families within the Lowndes County School System, many of which are our Snack Pack kids at Clyattville Elementary, as well as, Lake Park Elementary students. We have had a great response but we still have Christmas Sharing tags to be claimed. Please go to your email sent out on Monday, from mypaumc, regarding this need and select tags. You may also call (242-3562) or go by the church office to pick tags. We need your help to make this Christmas a special day for these children! Please try not to exceed $50 per tag. Gifts are due back by this Sunday, December 9th unwrapped with the tag attached. We are still in need of 20 packages of Girls Socks and Undies and 40 packages of Boys Socks and Undies . The Donation bin will be set up inside the Coffee Social Room. If you are providing a Christmas Sharing Food Basket, please turn them into the church between December 10th-13th so the fruit and food items will remain fresh for Christmas. We will be setting up for the event on Friday, December 14th all day and Christmas Sharing is Saturday, December 15th from 9:00am-2:00pm. We Need YOU! If you would like to volunteer for either or both days please contact me. Jennifer Clark, Director of Missions 229-242-6352 or [email protected] Are you interested in connecting in a small group? If community is what you are looking for, then contact Jamie Bone at [email protected] or 229-242-3562 to sign up for Titus 2 or Radical Mentoring beginning in January 2019.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICESCHRISTMAS EVE SERVICESCHRISTMAS EVE SERVICESCHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES

Have I mentioned that I love Christmas? I do. I love everything about it - the decorations, the music, the wintery scenes (or at least the cooler weather we get now and then), the smell of the Frazier Fir tree, the special Christmas movies and TV shows, the mall (not so much)!

But, what I love the most is how we celebrate Christmas in the church. Christmas Eve services have always been very special to me. From my youngest years, I remember being at First Methodist in Dublin with my family for Communion and Candlelight. We’ve continued that tradition ever since and have passed it on to our son and granddaughters. There is just something special about being together in church with family and friends on Christmas Eve!

Debbie and I cannot wait to experience it with you here at PAUMC! As usual, we will have 3 services on December 24th for you to choose from:

4:00 pm Traditional Communion & Candlelight (Sanctuary)

5:00 pm Contemporary Communion & Candlelight (Fellowship Hall)

6:00 pm Traditional Communion & Candlelight (Sanctuary)

And, yes, we will sing “Silent Night” at all three! It will be special this year because it is the 200th anniversary of the singing of this beautiful carol. You don’t want to miss it! But, if you can’t be with us - maybe because you are traveling - find a church wherever you are and Christ will join us all in Spirit!

We love you, and can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with you!
