About decorations Christmas Decorations are a way to celebrate Christmas, a

way to express our happiness, joy and love of family and friends.

Around our small town of Hawkesdale lots of people take their time to put up spectacular decorations. The local towns have a yearly “Best Christmas Decorations” competition.

Some families in our class have a tradition of driving around Warrnambool or other big towns that have lots of houses with decorations and viewing the spectacular lights.

Common Decoration ListThis is a list of some decorations:– Christmas lights, also known as ‘Fairy Lights’– Christmas trees– Streamers (mostly on trees)– Baubles (on trees)– Reindeer (fake ones usually glowing on houses or gardens)– Tinsel (twirled onto trees)– Paper chains (this is mostly a tradition in our school. We

love to make paper chains out of recycled paper and see how far we can stretch them down the corridor.)

– A star or an angel is usually placed on the top of a Christmas tree.

– Lots of people make their own decorations.
