Christmas 2011 Dear Friends and Relations. Another year full of events, just right for an old retired couple like us. The pictures give snaps from most of our travels and activities. We spent the Summer in Horten, hoping for better weather, which never really came. We are making up for it with a

week in Madeira in December. The highlight this year was Kirsti's wedding in September to Tor Arne, which was perfect, starting with a ceremony in a small store chapel. The reception afterwards was in an old farm now used for functions. They have bought a house near us in Horten with a fantastic sea view, and are very happy. Tor Arne has a boy (Emelian) from a previous encounter, living with his mother up North, which means a lot of travelling. (P.S. Tor Arne's family name is Wanebo, not Arne) . We have seen Øystein and his 3 boys a few times through the year. They have been joined by a 4th boy, Henrik, who belongs to Øystein's partner Laila. They are still busy restoring their house near Stavanger. Øystein has just joined a private architect firm in Stavanger, hoping for more challenging projects. By the way, we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in Stockholm in June. Incredible how time flies.

Christmas will be spent in Horten as usual, before we head to the Canary Islands on 12th January. This time we will stay for 3 weeks in a flat, trying to absorb as much sun as possible.
