Christensen Announces Run for State Representative

The South Metro seat was left open by Rep. Pam Myhra’s selection as Seifert’s running mate

Savage, MN, February 27th, 2014: Drew Christensen of Savage announced a bid today to replace Pam Myhra as State Representative from House District 56A. Christensen said, “I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Rep. Myhra as she joins the Seifert ticket for Governor. She has served our community honorably and has faithfully stood up for our conservative principles time and time again. Her voice in the House will be dearly missed.” He went on to say, “It’s an honor to run for House in order to continue Rep. Myhra’s fight for lower taxes, government accountability, and the protection of the unborn. As a young person, I cannot stand idly by as Governor Dayton and the DFL tax and regulate Minnesota’s economy into oblivion.”

Drew Christensen is a lifelong resident of Burnsville and Savage, a 2011 graduate of Prior Lake High School, and is currently finishing a B.A. in Political Science at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Drew served as the Treasurer of the Minnesota College Republicans from 2013-2014, and has served on the City of Savage Communications Commission since 2012.
