OVERCOMING TEMPTATION
• PHILIPPIANS 3:8-10• 8 MORE THAN THAT, I count all
things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, FOR WHOM I HAVE SUFFERED THE LOSS OF ALL THINGS, AND COUNT THEM BUT RUBBISH SO THAT I MAY GAIN CHRIST, 9 ……., 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;
JESUS’ PURPOSE• TELL PEOPLE ABOUT GOD AND THE
KINGDOM.
• TO SHOW PEOPLE HOW TO OBEY GOD.
• TO WARN PEOPLE TO CHANGE.
• TO SEEK OUT SOULS TO SAVE.
• TO ACCEPT THE COST OF SAVING SOULS.
• HEBREWS 4:15• 15 FOR we DO NOT have a high
priest WHO CANNOT SYMPATHIZE WITH OUR WEAKNESSES, BUT One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
• EPHESIANS 6:11-12• 11 Put on the full armor of God, SO
THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, BUT AGAINST THE RULERS, AGAINST THE POWERS, AGAINST THE WORLD FORCES OF THIS DARKNESS, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

• HEB 9:26-28• …BUT NOW ONCE AT THE
CONSUMMATION OF THE AGES HE HAS BEEN MANIFESTED TO PUT AWAY SIN BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF. 27 AND INASMUCH AS IT IS APPOINTED FOR MEN TO DIE ONCE AND AFTER THIS COMES JUDGMENT, 28 SO CHRIST ALSO, HAVING BEEN OFFERED ONCE TO BEAR THE SINS OF MANY, WILL APPEAR A SECOND TIME FOR SALVATION WITHOUT REFERENCE TO SIN, TO THOSE WHO EAGERLY AWAIT HIM.
