Lorenzo Velasquez joined The Bike team in October 2012. He responds to requests promptly and does his job very well. He performs beyond expectation on a daily basis. Lorenzo interacts with team members with a positive attitude and often receives compliments for the quality of work he delivers. Lorenzo has been a wonderful addition to The Bicycle Hotel & Casino since joining us. Management adds, “Lorenzo always has a smile and a positive attitude. Fabrizio Martinez joined our team in May 1990. Before joining The Bike, he had a job at Vance and Hines as a warehouse worker. Fabrizio is a problem solver. His staff has great respect for him. He continuously trains his team on procedures and policies, and is always promoting safety by addressing the issues immediately to make sure we have a safe work environment. His manager and peers add, “Fabrizio is excellent with patrons and they really like him. Fabrizio is a “worker” simple as that. He is extremely reliable and works the toughest shift.” – Congratulations Fabrizio!

In high school, Steven Nava was a lineman on the football team. His coaches continuously fed him to keep up his weight. After graduating high school, Steven kept up with eating the same amount of food but not the rigorous training of a football player. At one point his weight spiked up to 340 lbs!

It was then that he decided he wanted to live a healthier, more energetic life. How did he do it? Steven says the keys to his success in being more fit:

� First and foremost, make it your lifestyle. Steven works out six days a week. � “Protect your anchor.” Working out is Steven’s anchor. It’s what fuels and motivates him to get through the day.

� Prepare your food. Don’t sell yourself short on nutrition. � Eat five meals a day. � No supplements in the beginning.

Crushing these goals gives him the motivation to approach every other aspect of his life. He believes that if he doesn’t have a healthy balance of family, friends, and weights, he doesn’t have anything. When Steven isn’t in the weight room, he travels the world following his favorite band Metallica

His Motto: “Don’t ask me what I take, ask me what it takes.”

Sheila Francisco was commended by her supervisor for being instrumental in organizing cage supplies before and during construction in the cage.

Wendy Aldana was commended by her supervisor for being dependable, especially when balancing and correcting errors in the tournament. Wendy takes initiative and is willing to take on additional projects.

Marian Ying was commended by her supervisor for continuously seeking additional responsibilities and for organizing the Cage during construction. Marian upholds our service standards when helping customers.

Maricel Dicioco was commended by her supervisor for being flexible with her schedule and for working overtime when needed. Maricel is always willing to coach new cashiers to improve their skills.
