One nice, sunny day, a rock who had been chipped off of a bolder, was chilling on the tippytop of the mountain. His name was Chip Chip, but everyone called him Lil' Chip. Suddenly, a giantglacier started pushing up against the mountain. Everything started to shake! Lil' Chip was beingweathered! He tumbled down the side of the mountain. He got smaller and smaller! All of this leadhim down to the mountain stream.

He bobbed in all directions in that fierce mountain stream. He hit other rocks, the side of thestream, and could hardly breathe with all that water in his face. He was screaming the whole time ittook him to get to the bottom of the stream. It seemed as if the that horrifying stream would nevercome to an end! Finally, he reached the bottom, better known as the mature river.

Lil' Chip was floating around that mature river like he was at a spa. This part was so relaxingto him. It was his favorite part of the adventure. The only problem was, he was barely a rockanymore. He was half of his old size! He was heart broken. He wondered if it would ever growback.

He reached the old river. Those meanders made him feel super dizzy. He thought he was goingto throw up when he went around those sharp turns. He kept on hitting the edges of the river whenhe went around those curves.

After a few more twists and curves, he reached the delta. He couldn't BELIEVE how muchsediments have been dropped off there. It looked like a humongous mud pit! He felt disgusted justto be in that water. By this time, he was only a ¼ of his old size! This was horrible!

At that moment, he got carried away by an ocean wave. He thought that this wasn't that bad.He wasn't caught in huge wave. It was just a little tide that carried him into the shore. But by thetime he reached the shore, he was just a little grain of sand. He thought,” Wow. Weathering anderosion can do a lot to a rock.
