Who is Andy Warhol?
About Andy WarholAndy Warhol (August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987) was an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art.
His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture and advertisement that flourished by the 1960s.
He is famous for his Campbell Soup Art
Now, let’s take a look at some artworks based on Andy Warhol’s style.
As you view each image, ask yourself the following questions:

Your Task
• Based on the Andy Warhol’s style, you are going to write some Chinese Characters to welcome the new year.
• Your teacher will provide you a Chinese Character Template to copy from.
• Before that, let us look at these characters.
What you need:
• Coloured paper• Paint or marker• Pencil• Scissors• Glue
Steps:
1. Choose four coloured paper and cut into 4 equal squares or rectangle or any shapes desired for the background.
2. Copy the characters carefully with a pencil onto the 4 coloured paper.
OrCut the characters out using different coloured paper.
3. Colour the characters using paint or marker.
4. Glue these coloured paper onto your sketchbook or on another coloured paper.
