• In ancient China, rich people wore beautiful silk robes.

• Wealthy woman today still wear beautiful silk robes.

• Men normally wear a traditional Chinese gown for Chinese New Year.

MATERIAL • The Chinese invented silk before anyone else.

• Silk worms spin fine threads that Chinese crafts people weave into silk.

• The silk can be died any color you want it to be.

• Silk was important to China because they had the secret for making it before any other places.

• In Ancient China, men tied their hair up in knot on top of their head.

• Girls don’t wear buns they curled their hair up.

• The Manchu queue was the hair style men were forced to wear during the Qing Dynasty. If they didn’t wear this hair style, would risk their life.
