You May

Or You May NOT Know!

We are Being Distracted

While Other Countries Position Themselves to Control Our Energy Independence

First We Developed Electric Cars

To Get Around Our Small Cities While Relying on Horses and Railroads for Long Distances

Then Came the Need for Fossil Fuels to Travel Further

Which We Needed While Our Nation Was ExpandingOut of Small Clusters of Population

And We Found the Solution Right Here in America

We Had Achieved Energy Independence!

We Were Doing Well for Awhile

Until Our Oil Production Peaked in the 1970’s

Which Brought Us Supply Problems

So We Had to Go Looking for Additional Resources

We Found Willing Suppliers

But They Came With A Lot of Conflict

The Expansion of America was Over

The Population Had Clustered Back Into Cities

The Foreign Oil Supply Had Helped Stave Off Our Thirst

But We Soon Found Out It Wouldn’t Last for Long

Now We MUST Find New Energy Sources

Not Only for Our Homes and Businesses,But For the Next Generation of Automobiles

Which Will Once Again Run on ELECTRICITY

Looks Like Our Problems Are Finally Solved

The Next Generation of Vehicles Will Use Electric Motors and Batteries

But Where Will their Raw Materials Come From?

Today's Motors & Batteries Require Specific Rare Earth Minerals

Which Are Not Accessible Here in North America!

CHINA – The “New Saudi Arabia” of Rare Earth Minerals?

So where does that leave US?

China is tightening their control over rare earth production. Mining rights for the 17 rare earth metals will be restricted to state-controlled mining companies under a draft proposal submitted to China’s cabinet. China also capped production levels for 2010, and imposed a moratorium on new mining licenses until next summer.

China has stated that by 2012 ALL of it’s production capacity of rare earth minerals will be required for Chinese needs alone.

We Need to Focus Investment Into Technologies That DO NOT Rely on Rare Earth Elements That Are Beyond Our Control!
