China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Center China-SCO Environmental Cooperation Center Update Issue 20, July, 2015 [Regional Cooperation] Dialogue on APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain was Held in Philippines On 11 May 2015, Dialogue on APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain was held in Boracay, Philippines. The dialogue was organized by Ministry of Environmental Protection of China, China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Center and Environmental Defense Fund, with aimed to implement the outcome document of 22nd APEC Economic Leader’s Declaration, to promote the construction of APEC Green Supply Chain Network. CCICED Roundtable Meeting 2015 was Held in Shanghai On 18-19 May 2015, China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) held its 2015 Roundtable Meeting in Shanghai, inviting council members, former research project co-chairs, renowned scholars, sector delegates, donor representatives, and selected cadre being trained in China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong (CELAP) to sit together and discuss China’s green transformation. Delegates shared their national policies and practices on green supply chain, and explored the Development and follow up actions of APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain. Themed with “Modernization of National Governance and Green Transformation”, this year’s Roundtable Meeting provided a platform to share CCICED’s policy recommendations on institutional innovation of eco-environmental redlining, media and public participation policies on promoting China’s green development, green accounting and environmental performance evaluation, and green supply chain.

Seminar on the formulation of China-ASEAN Strategy on Environmental Cooperation 2016-2020
was Held in Beijing
On 3-4 June 2015, the “Seminar on the formulation of China-ASEAN Strategy on Environmental
Cooperation 2016-2020” was held in Beijing by CAEC. The seminar reviewed the progress of
China-ASEAN environmental cooperation, and the implementation of the current strategy and action plan.
During the seminar, officials and experts from China, ASEAN Member States, ASEAN Secretariat and
ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) reached consensus on the content and procedures of the adoption
of China-ASEAN Strategy on Environmental Cooperation 2016-2020.
China-Cambodia Workshop on Industrial Pollution Prevention & Control
On 11-15 June 2015, the China-Cambodia Workshop on Industrial Pollution Prevention & Control was
held in Beijing and Shenzhen by CAEC. Leaded by Mr. SAO Sopheap (Vice Minister level), Director of
General office, Ministry of Environment, Cambodia, 18 Cambodia officials attended the workshop.

The participants exchanged views on policies and
monitoring system of industrial pollution, and
shared good practices on air, water and solid waste
pollution prevention & treatment. The participants
also meet with Human Settlements and
Environment Commission of Shenzhen
Municipality, and visited waste incineration power
plant, hazardous waste treatment station and some
environmental engineering projects in Shenzhen.

2nd GTI Environmental Board Meeting was Held in Mongolia
On 2-3 July 2015, the 2nd GTI Environmental Board Meeting was held in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. The
meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Environment. Green Development and Tourism, Mongolia and
organized by the GTI Secretariat.

CAEC and UNEP Signed MOU
On 3 June 2015, under the witness of Mr. Li Ganjie, Vice Minister of Environmental Protection, during his
visit to China, UNEP Deputy Executive Director, Ibrahim Thiaw and CAEC Director General Guo Jing
signed the Memorandum of Understanding between UNEP and CAEC. According to the memorandum,
the both sides will cooperate in some areas such as biodiversity conservation and ecosystem management,
environmental rule of law, policy and financing for sustainable development and green economy, resource
efficiency and sustainable consumption and production, as well as knowledge sharing.

Officials from China, Mongolia, Korea and
Russia reviewed the GTI Activities for
Environmental Cooperation, exchanged
views on national environmental policies,
activities and new project proposals for
environmental cooperation. The meeting
adopted the GTI Environment Work Plan for
2015-2016.

On 6 May 2015, 9 delegates of Central Asia and Mongolia Green Economy Workshop visited CAEC. Mr.
