Children's Action Alliance is an independent voice for Arizona children at the state capitol and in the community.
CAA works to improve children's health, education and security through information and action.
KidsCare • Arizona success story! • Reduced the rate of uninsured AZ kids from
25% to 13% - beginning to inch up again • Enrollment peaked at 66,000 in 2008.
Current enrollment 12,000. • Enrollment freeze effective Jan 1, 2010 –
AZ only state with freeze • 129,000 on “waiting list” • PCH, MIHS, UMC plan to enroll 19,000
KidsCare • Kids in families up to 200% FPL - $44,000
for family of 4 • Premiums $10-$70/month • Must be 3 months without health
insurance - exceptions • Same health plans and benefits as
AHCCCS-Medicaid
