FEE RELIEF FACTSThree things will determine a family's level of Child Care Subsidy:

1 Combined family income

2 Activity level of parents

3 Type of child care service

Some basic requirements must be satisfied for an individual to be eligible to receive Child Care Subsidy for a child.

These include:

· the age of the child (must be 13 or under and not attending secondary school)

· the child meeting immunisation requirements

· the individual, or their partner, meeting the residency requirements

All families are encouraged to set up a MyGov account to start the CCS application process.

If you have not used Big Childcare for 8 weeks, you must confirm us as your service provider again on your MyGov account.

Online Electronic Enrolment This is the quickest and easiest way to enrol at Big Childcare. Go to www.bigchildcare.com and click the 'Enrol Online' tab. For NEW FAMILIES please click on NEW ENROLMENT & follow the prompts. CAN I INVITE MY CHILD’S FRIEND FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL? YES anyone can attend Big Childcare holiday care,

even if they do not attend the school where the program is held.

CAN PARENTS ATTEND EXCURSION DAYS WITH BIG CHILDCARE?

Due to our Child Protection Policy parents are unable to attend any of our excursions/incursions.

We follow the government regulation ratios of 1 staff member to 15 children, however on excursions we have additional staff attend to provide extra support and care.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS LATE FOR THE BUS?

CAN I SEE RISK ASSESMENTS?

Risk assessments are completed for every excursion; please feel free to peruse these at your program before the excursion day.

Due to event times, the bus cannot wait for late arrivals, so it is important to know the departure times and make sure you arrive15 minutes early each day for excursions.

WITH SO MANY CHILDREN ON AN EXCURSION HOW WILL YOU ENSURE MY CHILD IS SAFE?

We follow strict safety protocols which include; taking rolls, performing head checks, following risk management plans, keeping updated medical checklists etc. We also split our schools into zones making for smaller excursion groups. Your child will be wearing a securi-vest or rashie at any excursion. This separates a Big Childcare child from the general public. The vests have pocket inserts front & back that display your child’s school & a number. We also use wristbands & radio headsets.
