2020-2021 School Year Tuition and Payment Plans Welcome to enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year!
The following pages describe the tuition and activity fees for 2020-2021, including the options for payment plans. Also covered are NSMS’ policies regarding payments, late fees, etc.
To secure your child’s place at NSMS for the coming school year, please complete the Tuition Contract and drop it off or mail it to NSMS with a check for the nonrefundable tuition deposit by March 12, 2020. Dropoff locations at NSMS include:

Tuition Deposit ● A nonrefundable tuition deposit is due by March 12, 2020. This deposit will be applied toward your
child’s tuition.
Payment Plan Options ● Tuition covers the 2020-2021 school year.
o No credit or refunds will be issued for days your child has missed school. ● NSMS offers 4 tuition payment plans (annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly).
o Appendices at the end of this document list specific amounts due for each program (ie, classroom) broken down by type of payment plan.

Payment Methods ● Payments may be paid via check, either a check sent by your bank or standard paper check.
o Make checks payable to NSMS or North Shore Montessori School. o At this time, NSMS does not accept credit cards, debit cards, or electronic funds transfers (EFT).
● NSMS requests predated and signed checks for the entire school year’s payments; please provide signed checks by May 1, 2020.
o Predated checks are held by NSMS and deposited only on or after the date written on the check.
Fees Application Fee
● For students new to North Shore Montessori School, a nonrefundable application fee of $25.00 is due with your application.
o A PDF of the application is available at www.northshoremontessori.org/ (see tab named Admissions).

Activity Fee ● Activity fees are now included in the total reflected in the Contract. ● Amount of activity fee is specified in the individual appendices. ● For students in Children’s House (pre-kindergarten and kindergarten), if applicable, the activity fee will
be adjusted if a scheduled activity (such as music, drumming, or Spanish) regularly occurs on the day for which a child is not enrolled.
Child Care Fees (Before and After School Care) Child care is available, upon request, prior to and after the school day.
● Child care is not available during school vacations or when the school is closed. ● Child care is billed monthly.
o Payment is due upon receipt. o Late charges will accrue if payment is delayed beyond 10 business days (see Late Fees for more
information) ● Child care rates
o $15 per hour for a single child o $9 per hour for any additional children in care at the same day and time o Billed by the half hour
Field Trip Fees ● Student fees for field trips are fully covered by Activity Fees
o NEW: Upper elementary ▪ In 2020-2021, the Activity Fee has been increased to cover the cost of all field trips
● Parents accompanying field trips will be asked to pay for their own expenses.
Late Fees Billed Fees (such as child care)
● Billed fees (such as child care) are due upon receipt. ● A late fee of $50 will be charged each month for bills not paid within 10 business days.
Contracted Tuition Payments
● Per the Tuition Contract, tuition payments are due on the dates indicated in the selected payment plan. o A late fee of $50 will be charged if the tuition payment is not received within 10 days of the
planned payment date.
Returned Check/Bank Fees ● If your check cannot be deposited by NSMS’s bank (for example, if it is rejected due to insufficient
funds), a fee of $50 will be charged for each declined deposit.
