Ebenezer Christian AcademySchool Construction Update

Early this year on January 15 we did the groundbreaking to kick start the journey of the long awaited for Ebenezer Christian Academy school construction.The day was graced with the presence of our city mayor with Brad Womack and Bobby Womack from Engage Hope and other government officials.It has been a tough 7 year experience on rented land and temporary buildings. The conditions were not favorable for the learning

conference is coming on soon. It is scheduled to take place May 3rd to 10th 2020. As always, we need your prayers and support. Our budget for this year’s conference is $20,000

be helping out at Ebenezer, Revival Tabernacle and House of Hope.

of children. It was always dusty during the dry season and muddy during the rainy season. We are so grateful for Engage Hope ministries and friends who helped us buy land and raise money to start on the great achievement of building a school for our community.It is a joy to see this building go up every day. The construction is slated to

take six months. We hope to dedicate the building in July and be ready to use it in August 2020.Once this three stored building is complete it is estimated to be home for 600 children.In 2012 when we started Ebenezer Christian Academy our

goal was to help equip orphans and poor children with quality Christian education for them to become godly future leaders that will transform their communities. Education is the only tool that will break the cycle of the bondage of poverty by equipping children with knowledge and skills to be self-sustaining when they grow up.The community is about to be blessed with a modern school building that will be a blessing to generations. The Joy That Christmas Brings“We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give”

Christmas 2019 was one of its kind. The main cause of excitement was the shopping spree! Just the feeling of children to know that they have money in their pocket to go shopping and bargain to get good prices was a dream come true to most children.The children after receiving their gift money moved in groups from shop (store) to shop with big smiles. You would find them trying to fit in their new clothes and shoes.Some of them, it took them two to three days

before they got what they wanted.Thank you sponsors for changing their world.This experience teaches them to be more grateful to God and to their sponsors, but it also helps them to learn how to be accountable with money.For the small children it was a different story, our staff members went with them to make sure money is not stolen from them and also help them make good choices at better prices.Thank you, all sponsors that, sent additional support to make this happen. It made their Christmas both fun and enjoyable.




We appreciate the sponsors who mailed Christmas cards and gifts for your sponsored children. Gifts speak volumes even to small children.We appreciate you all who donated a little more to purchase rain collection tanks. We were able to buy them and distribute them out to the children. Our goal was to reach out to the families of the sponsored children and help them with clean rainwater. A number of families are not able to access clean water easily. Good clean water promotes good physical health.

ChristmasFestival2019

CHRISTMASDINNER“Oh, I couldn’t wait for this year’s Christmas festival” one child was heard talking to another child who had come to attend the Christmas festival. The doors were slated to open at 8:00am but over 100 children had gathered at the venue way ahead of time.We had budgeted to feed 1000 children

but to our surprise by lunch time we had over 1500 children. We had to believe God to help us with wisdom how we would divide food to all these children. Indeed, by the end of the day every one of the children had eaten enough food that comprised of Matoke, rice with beef and soda.




Most families in our village eat one meal a day whereas the orphaned and poor children do not know where the next meal would come from. This Christmas festival helps to make sure that no one of the children in our village are left out of the fun and joy that comes with Christmas!To most of children from our community this is the only opportunity they get to eat beef and drink a soda.As a ministry, we feel God has called us to minister to these hurting and hopeless children and make a difference in their lives and our community. It is our joy to provide this meal each year as we reach out to these precious children with the love of Jesus.Thank you, our donors, for your generous contribution to make this happen.

The Christmas festival also provides room for the gospel to be preached to children, so they have an opportunity to know Jesus and also get to know the true meaning of Christmas.This Christmas festival was a lot of fun. Children made different presentations from scripture reading, to gospel presentation, music and drama. Then children had different games. What made

this festival unique was the bouncing castle! A number of children had never

played on the bouncing castle leave alone see it. When it came




to time to go on the castle every child wanted to go first. Thanks to our dedicated staff that kept the children in order. The children did not care lining up for hours just to get an opportunity to jump on the bouncing castle.The Christmas message was presented in different age group classes by our amazing Sunday school teachers and Ebenezer Christian Academy teachers.Later on, the gospel message was presented and over 200 children gave their lives to Jesus!

KABALEHOUSEOfHOPE

With half the population of Uganda being under the age of 15, and most of these children having no parents or living in very poor conditions, many children live in despair. Hundreds of children fill Uganda’s streets in search of food, love, a place to call home and hope. House of Hope has become a home for suffering orphans and homeless children. Today 35 children call House of Hope their home. With support from our partners, we are able to provide daily meals for these children, give them a place to call home, education, school supplies, care and love. Our children learn the Bibles every day and a lot of skills.

It is a joy to see these children attain to education and become good disciples of Jesus before we can let them go to be on their own. Our goal is to equip these children with education and life




skills that will help them to be critical thinkers and innovative so that they can be self-sustaining once they are out of House of Hope. This last Christmas was so special! Our children at House of Hope were given a special treatment to a Christmas dinner. This was the first of it’s kind and the children enjoyed it. EricWillbeMakingMoneySoon!When Eric came to House of Hope over 5 years ago, no one would have thought that he could amount to anything good. Having been on the street for most of his life it was so difficult for him to adapt to ordinary life. He usually wanted his food cold because he was used to cold food out of the garbage bins. He wasn’t used to rules and regulations. It is amazing to see the responsible young man Eric has become. A number of people give praise reports thanking God and our

ministry for transforming the life of Eric. One lady recently said that she is a victim of people Eric robbed money from with a knife. When Eric first came to House of Hope, our immediate plan was to take him to a vocational school, but Eric told us that his desire was to go to school and learn how to read and speak English. It looked awkward for a big boy of his age sitting in class with children three times younger, but he was ok with that. So, in 2016 we enrolled him into P.4.

Last year he sat for P.7 Primary- Leaving Examinations and after the results Eric had not passed but at least

he achieved his goal; he reads and speaks good English. Eric has now joined Vocational college; he is taking welding and mechanical engineering. He is so excited that he will soon be making his own money and be on his own. Eric’s passion it to serve the Lord with music and also reach out to street children with the gospel of hope. Thank you, all our dear friends who support Kabale House of Hope. Eric is forever grateful to Pastor Dubayonne and New Life Christian church for rescuing his life!

Revival Explosion Conference 2020 It is a joy once again to host our annual revival conference, this coming May. We

expect about 8,000 people to attend this amazing conference. The conference shall take place May 3rd to 10th 2020 in Kabale main Stadium. Expectation is already high. All across the neighboring hills, cities and towns, through the villages and streets, in churches and institutions of learning word has started to spread. We look forward to seeing the lost come to the mercy of the Savior who shed His blood for their salvation, responding to his love and see chains of bondage and addiction broken and captives set free! Oh, that’s more than anything money can buy! Our budget this year to make this great event happen is $20,000. Please prayerfully consider
