BACKGROUND• Code of Good Practice• Legislation changes 2002• Consultation with NSPCC• Checks with CRB may apply• Detailed guidance in Spring 2003• Christmas Rotary Clubs work with
children who are vulnerable
INTERIM ADVICEGENERAL ISSUES
• Have a policy• Provide training for employees and
members• Plan so that abuse is less likely to happen• Have a procedure for dealing with
allegations• Use a professional approach when
selecting volunteers or employees
AT CHRISTMAS• Additional Child Protection issues• Health and Safety regulations• Traffic regulations• Food hygiene regulations• Insurance
INTERIM ADVICESANTA
• Must be accompanied by at least one other AT ALL TIMES.

supervisors• Ensure parents are aware of your
arrangements
