What is education???????Education is a progressive discovery of our ignorance.

Education in the largest sense is any act or experience that has a

formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of anindividual. In its technical sense, education is the process bywhich society deliberately transmits itsaccumulated knowledge, skills andvalues from one generation toanother.

Compulsory Education Acty Provides for free and compulsory education to all

children of the age of six to fourteen years.

Came into force from April 1, 2010.y Every child in the age group of 6-14 years will be

provided 8 years of elementary education.

y No child shall be denied admission for want ofdocuments; no child shall be turned away if theadmission cycle in the school is over and no child shallbe asked to take an admission test.

y Children with disabilities will also be educated in themainstream schools.
