Ioannis joined Mittal Steel in 2006 as SAP Manager. He was then nominated IT Project Portfolio Manager of Asia, Africa, Mining and Pipes & Tubes of ArcelorMittal in March 2007. Prior to his current role he worked along with the Mining executive team to develop ArcelorMittal Mining Segment of 14 business Mining Units in 12 countries. Born in Italy and educated in Milan Domenico worked and travelled extensively throughout Europe before moving to the UK in 1998. He began his career with Arthur Andersen as a Senior Auditor and then worked primarily within FMCG organizations including Mars-Masterfoods before joining BAT Switzerland in September 1996 as a Group Brand Manager of Barclay.

In 1998 he moved to London to work in the International Brand Group with responsibility of Barclay, Vogue and Cartier. In 2004 he joined Marketing Innovation as Innovation Manager, BAT (UK). With the UK team Domenico launched the first King-Size Super slim product; with the Strategic Innovation Group he focused his work on Consumer Unmet Needs and other transformational innovations. He is now Global Head of Innovation for the Non Combustible Business and working primarily on the new e-cigarette venture of BAT.

The evolutionary journey of a ‘Linchpin’: 9 years experience in Marketing Innovation.Back in 2006 when I started working on this subject for British American Tobacco, it was the new buzzword of marketing. Richard is Head of Commercial and International Innovation at NHS England. His role involves developing national programmes that maximise benefits to patients and the NHS, in addition to supporting UK economic growth agenda, by promoting and facilitating commercial opportunities, both domestically and internationally.

Prior to this Richard was the Managing Director for NHS Global, a UK body established to support the delivery of health care expertise to international markets. NHS Global worked closely with UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) to deliver services and expertise globally by harnessing the powerful collaboration of NHS and commercial sector partnerships. This led to the creation of a joint unit called Healthcare UK which was formally launched in January 2013.

Cultural change, within an organisation of the size and scale of the National Health Service, does not come easily.  To continue to succeed in the future, innovation must remain at the forefront of the collective mind of the NHS.  Through policies such as Innovation Health and Wealth, the NHS is working to embed innovation at the heart of clinical decision making, in order to ensure high quality care, now and for future generations.  In his presentation Richard will explore the approaches taken to drive the innovation agenda in the NHS, the systemic barriers to innovation that must be overcome, and the future challenges that will require even more innovative solutions.

Dario Resnati has great passion and experience in fostering creativity and innovation. Dario began first as a student of the leading practices of Innovation and, today, is recognized both academically and professionally as a leader of innovation, while retaining the energy and curiosity of a student.Dario spent his entire professional life in IT and he’s still managing the IT in BNP Paribas securities services Italy. He started leading innovation in 2007, being appointed “innovation correspondent” for Italy in BNP Paribas Securities Services. In the same period Dario introduced agile methodologies to his development department, with the main objectives to be able to innovative and to be flexible enough, building IT platform, to embrace change instead of limit or fight it.In the following years, Dario made an intense training and intensive studies on the subjects of creativity and innovation. He became an expert in Creative Problem Solving, “6 hats”, mind mapping and other methodologies and tools. He attended an “innovation management” master program where he also served as a lecturer.In 2010 he’s been appointed “chief innovation officer” for the whole BNP Paribas Securities Services.In early 2000 Dario also started a successful and innovative business in Italy, the very first chain of juice bars

and health food store in Italy. This experience, which lasted 8 years, gave him the possibility to really understand the meaning of “entrepreneurship”, that is one of the management principle of BNP Paribas.

It’s the people – the users of the tools and techniques – that make the difference. If they are unwilling, no technique will ever be enough. The cultural side (meaning the way employees and managers behave) is fundamental to create the ideal conditions in order to generate, either in a conscious or in an unconscious way, creative ideas and new ways of working and cooperating , during each meeting, during each conversation, during each session, even during each coffee break.We cannot command employees to be creative and innovative, to be committed, to be passionate in what they do.
