BIRDS EYEVIEW

Stage 1. Plantation timber poles (sourced at the farm) painted with sump oiland recycled corrigated iron set into the ground to deter dogs and foxes.

Recycled chicken wire encircles the enclosure, with a self closing gate.The shelter was made from and old washing machine and bits of tin.

Stage 2 began some months later when materials were sourced. Plantationpoles used for the frame (tied with wire) and an old shed was reused.

Stage 3 involved the welding up of materials sourced from the farm to makethe frame for the green house. Blue metal (stones) used as a heat sink.

A 44 gallon drum is used to collect rainwater. Access to the chook shed is via a small flap for the chooks at the base of the main door.

Manuare is collected via a hingedlifting floor from the tool shed.

Chook boxes are set into the green-house to allow for a heat exchange.

The completed project took about a year, but cost under $200.Ducks & Geese now occupy the area in fromt of the green house.
