Chicago

Chicago - the city of the USA, the second financial center of the country and the largest transport knot of North America. It is

located on the southwest coast of Lake Michigan, in the State of Illinois. This is also the Cook County.

The city of Chicago was founded in 1837 and it rapidly became a major transportation and telecommunication hub in North America. It is

considered as a center of international business and commerce and is listed as the world's top ten global financial centers.

Chicago is famous for its architecture, culture, entertainment and business.

Willis Tower (Sears Tower) is a 108-story, 1,451-foot (442 m) skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois.

Millennium Park is a public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago and originally intended to celebrate the

millennium.

Shedd Aquarium (the John G. Shedd Aquarium) is an indoor public aquarium in Chicago that opened on May 30, 1930. The aquarium contains over 25,000 fish, and was for some time

the largest indoor aquarium in the world with 5,000,000 US gallons of water. Shedd Aquarium was the first inland aquarium with a permanent saltwater fish collection. The aquarium has 2 million annual visitors. It contains 1500 species including fish, marine

mammals, birds, snakes, amphibians, and insects. 

The Buckingham Fountain - one of the biggest fountains in the world. It is

situated in the center the Grant park. It was opened in 1927, and since then it

has given beautiful color musical shows.

The Chicago Outfit (or simply the Outfit), also known as the Chicago Mafia, Chicago Mob, or Chicago

Syndicate, is an Italian American crime syndicate based in Chicago, Illinois. Dating back to the 1910s, it is part of

the American Mafia. Originating in South Side Chicago, the Outfit rose to power in the 1920s under the control

of Johnny Torrio and Al Capone. The period was marked by bloody gang wars for distribution of illegal alcohol during Prohibition. Since then, the Outfit has been

involved in a wide range of criminal activities including loansharking, gambling, prostitution, extortion, political corruption, and murder. They were the biggest criminal

organization in the Midwestern United States. The Outfit's control at its peak reached throughout the western and

eastern United States to places as far away as Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and parts of Florida. 

When you think of Chicago, the first that comes to mind is a severe city with the severe past: gangsters and Al Capone, Thompson's machine guns and colts.

But actually, Chicago is absolutely different. It, perhaps, is one of the most beautiful cities of America

with improbable architecture and surprisingly romantic mood. So if you sometime go to Chicago, you

won't regret about it.
