POWERFULLY EFFICIENT. Sonic offers a combination of power and efficiency that keeps the fun going longer between fill-ups. The ECOTEC® 1.4L turbocharged engine — standard on LTZ and RS, available on LT — has a highway fuel consumption rating of 6.2 L/100 km.1

CHARGED-UP TECHNOLOGY. For the ultimate driving experience, Sonic RS includes a standard 1.4L turbocharged engine with a sporty final drive ratio (4.18 for manual and 3.53 for automatic). RS also features a lowered and stiffened suspension with performance-tuned dampers to keep the good times rolling smoothly along.

LIFE MOVES FAST, SO KEEP UP. With 138 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft. of torque, the turbocharged Sonic takes you from 0–96 km/h (0–60 mph) in less than 8 seconds.2 Which means Sonic has all the passing and merging power you’ll need.

TAKE-CHARGE STYLE. Great performance meets great style in Sonic RS. Aggressive rocker panel extensions and custom fog lamps make a formidable first impression. POWER AND CONTROL. The ECOTEC 1.8L 4-cylinder engine with 5-speed manual transmission (standard on Sonic LS and LT) puts driving control in your hands. With an engine that delivers 138 horsepower and 125 lb.-ft. of torque, that’s a very good thing.

IN-CHARGE HANDLING. Sonic RS delivers the performance of a sport sedan with a suspension that lowers the centre of gravity for an improved stance and optimized handling. An available dealer-installed accessory suspension provides a lowered ride height that enhances the sporty feel.
