Chess Tournament at Shiv Nadar University A team of IIIT Delhi, comprising of Vishesh Agrawal, Tanmay Garg, Arsh Verma and Harshit Sharma won the First Position at the Chess tournament held at Breeze, the Sports fest of Shiv Nadar University, held on the 9th and 10th February. The event comprised of 10 teams which were divided into two pools, with the top two teams from each pool progressing to the Semi-final stage. Our team topped the pool by defeating teams from Bennett University (3-1), SRM University (4-0), Netaji Subhas University of Technology (4-0) and playing out a draw with Shiv Nadar University (2-2). In the semi finals, the team defeated OP Jindal College (3-1). This was followed by a comprehensive victory during in the finals over Amity University (3-1), who were by our toughest opponents. Tanmay Garg and Vishesh Agrawal ended the tournament as the highest point scorers of the tournament as well as their board, with 5.5/6 points each and Arsh Verma finished with the highest points on his board with 5/6 points.
