Brethren, During the month of April, Cherrydale Lodge took the time to reflect upon the lives of two of our past great leaders in Freema- sonry. The April 6 th Stated Communication, was highlighted by Worshipful Marc Hone presenting on the life of Most Worshipful Stewart Wilson Miner, and at the following Stated Communica- tion, on April 20 th , Right Worshipful Carl Weaver presented on the life of Right Worshipful Bruce Cameron Palmer. Both men were true and loyal stewards of the Craft, and both always maintained their commitment with and amazing dignity and grace. I took the opportunity to reflect upon the lives of these two great Masons, and found it virtually impossible to measure the value of their contributions to Freemasonry and the lives of the men around them. Both invested an unimaginable amount time to as- sure their fellow brethren found learning, comprehension, and meaning in their Masonic journeys. Through their efforts, we continue to benefit today from their knowledge and wisdom that they bestowed upon so many. Not only in Cherrydale Lodge, but throughout Masonry, they created the Masons of today, who will in-turn, now need to create the Ma- sons of tomorrow. Being the Masonic leaders of today, I feel it is critical that we begin now to focus on the future Freemasonry. I am fond of a quote by President John F. Kennedy, Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. We all came to Freemasonry with the hope of improving ourselves as men and increasing our knowledge in Masonry. It is incumbent upon us all to learn Masonic Ritual and Law, and share that knowledge with fellow brethren. So, I again ask everyone to find the time to attend the LIW and DIW schools, or enroll in the Grand Lodge of Virginias Masonic Education Online Leadership Courses, and continue to improve your Masonic knowledge. We are the lead- ers of Freemasonry today, and only through our efforts we will be able to create the lead- ers of tomorrow. Brethren, During the month of April, Cherrydale Lodge took the time

to reflect upon the lives of two of our past great leaders in Freema-sonry. The April 6th Stated Communication, was highlighted by Worshipful Marc Hone presenting on the life of Most Worshipful Stewart Wilson Miner, and at the following Stated Communica-tion, on April 20th, Right Worshipful Carl Weaver presented on the life of Right Worshipful Bruce Cameron Palmer.

Both invested an unimaginable amount time to as-sure their fellow brethren found learning, comprehension, and meaning in their Masonic journeys. Through their efforts, we continue to benefit today from their knowledge and wisdom that they bestowed upon so many. Not only in Cherrydale Lodge, but throughout Masonry, they created the Masons of today, who will in-turn, now need to create the Ma-sons of tomorrow.

Being the Masonic leaders of today, I feel it is critical that we begin now to focus

on the future Freemasonry. I am fond of a quote by President John F. Kennedy,

“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” We all came to Freemasonry

with the hope of improving ourselves as men and increasing our knowledge in Masonry.

It is incumbent upon us all to learn Masonic Ritual and Law, and share that knowledge

with fellow brethren. So, I again ask everyone to find the time to attend the LIW and

DIW schools, or enroll in the Grand Lodge of Virginia’s Masonic Education Online

Leadership Courses, and continue to improve your Masonic knowledge. We are the lead-

ers of Freemasonry today, and only through our efforts we will be able to create the lead-

ers of tomorrow.
